Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Guiyang

My room, 818, was upgraded after I called ahead, which was a very thoughtful gesture. It also came equipped with a mini-fridge and a massager. While I don't frequently stay at InterContinental properties, I was very grateful for these thoughtful touches. As I have a sleep disorder, I always travel with my CPAP machine, and the cleanliness of the room is crucial for a good night's sleep. I was delighted that the room was impeccably clean, with virtually no dust. When I found the standard pillow uncomfortable, the manager kindly provided a memory foam pillow for me. Although the breakfast selection wasn't particularly extensive, the staff member at the breakfast entrance asking for room numbers seemed a bit stiff, and the laundry room was inconveniently located with too few machines and no staff available for overnight drying assistance, the overall stay was still very comfortable. I've stayed at Holiday Inn Express hotels a few times, but this one in Guiyang is the top-of-the-line. First of all, the location is excellent, in the heart of Guiyang's old town, making it convenient to get around and experience the local atmosphere. The hotel lobby isn't large, but the amenities are top-notch, with a coffee lounge and a self-service coffee machine. The receptionist was very welcoming. After confirming I was an InterContinental member, she proactively offered to upgrade my room, quickly completed check-in, and explained the hotel services. The upgraded twin room was much larger than my original booking, and the sofa also had a single bed, making it perfect for a family of four. According to the description, it was recently renovated and reopened this year, so there was still a slight smell of renovation in the room, but not much. All the equipment was new, the bedding was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. The room on the 20th floor offered a great view. The room was also very quiet. The breakfast deserves the most praise; it offered both Chinese and Western options, and the tableware was also a mix of Chinese and Western styles. Freshly cooked stir-fries, hot porridge, steamed dishes, freshly made soup noodles, vegetable salad, bread, pastries, and cereal, hot and cold milk, fruit yogurt, hot soy milk and tea, and freshly ground coffee—everything was available. We had to get there early, so we had breakfast before 7 a.m. This stay at Holiday Inn Express has further enhanced my appreciation for the InterContinental Hotels Group's upscale brand. I will definitely stay at Holiday Inn Express again when I travel.

The Qingyan store maintains its consistent holiday service standards, and ELENA at the front desk left a deep impression! The only thing that's not good enough is that the water in the shower faucet is too small. The small amount of warm water in winter should really be deducted 0.5! Very close to Qingyan Ancient Town, very convenient!
