Hampton by Hilton GuiLin Xiufeng

Facilities: Very dated and run-down, the room was small. My charger kept falling out of the wall socket, and the shower pressure was weak. Cleanliness: The room itself was relatively clean, but the hallways had no air conditioning and were incredibly hot. Environment: It's a bit far from the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, but there are plenty of convenient dining options downstairs. We always stay in Hampton by Hilton family rooms when traveling with our child, but honestly, this was the worst experience I've ever had. The owner really needs to renovate the place!

The facilities only received 4.5 stars, and here's why: For a Hilton, especially one in the South, the lack of an ice machine is a significant oversight. Seriously, *no* ice machine! It was a constant frustration throughout our stay.

The air conditioning in the hallways was a bit warm. The AC in the room was only mediocre, and it took an entire day for the room to cool down properly. Staff service was just average. It's a sub-brand under Hilton. However, the stay itself was decent enough. The location was great, with plenty of dining options nearby. Zhou Ji Rice Noodles was particularly good; I went there both days.

The room was spotless and well-appointed. The service was excellent. An ideal choice for business trips.

The facilities are excellent and the cleanliness is spotless. Its central location makes it convenient for visiting all the main attractions. They also offer complimentary luggage storage.

First and foremost, I'd like to commend the housekeeping service. The lady on our floor was exceptionally friendly and always smiling. The front desk staff were also very friendly. However, I strongly suspect the hotel's restaurant is outsourced. The food quality is on par with a budget hotel – it's, without a doubt, the worst I've experienced among the dozens of Hilton-branded hotels I've stayed in. Even the paper napkins were of extremely poor quality. It makes one wonder if Hampton Inn's standard napkins are being withheld to save costs? Among the very few dishes offered, the only meat options were low-quality imitation bacon, processed sausage and beef meatballs, both full of artificial flavors and starch. The restaurant service was also terrible. There was a short-haired woman, who appeared to be a manager, whose attitude was quite rude and overbearing.
