Easy access to all area , near metro and close to mobile market

First of all, the location, cannot be better on Shamian island, located opposite the river park with all the activities going on. The room was clean, comfortable with a great roof terrace (no real view), nice bathroom with piping hot water. My overall feeling is that the hotel is a little tired in need of refurbishment and decoration, but the location and room itself makes up for this. I would stay again

First of all, the hotel is right by the river on Shamian Island, with an excellent location. The price is more than 300, which is very cost-effective. The same room in White Swan costs more than 1,000, haha. Then the hygiene is good, clean and tidy, it should have just been renovated, especially the bathroom. The facilities are at the level of a guesthouse, simple, complete, useful and usable (with a refrigerator and a safe). The TV is very small and cannot be projected. The items are OK, but they are too old, especially the bath towels, which are indeed thick and pure cotton, but they are worn out and have holes after being starched and washed. The breakfast is outrageous. The front desk receptionist introduced some snacks at the beginning. Yes, you can bring egg and milk cake to eat on the road. This doesn’t matter, it just doesn’t add points 😊. In short, the location is superb (the transportation is average, there are many taxis in the scenic area, and the subway station is a little far away), in the scenic area, opposite the Pearl River, there are many scenic spots around, the hotel is clean and hygienic, I didn’t see any small animals in this season, the waiter is friendly but not enthusiastic (the master who repaired the window switch in the room is very friendly and professional). The elevator was under maintenance when I checked in, but fortunately I only lived on the third floor. Exercise!

No elevator, no bar, no restaurant, lousy breakfast (no hot drinks) only a carton of cold milk! The only interest is the location and the terrace in the room.

I couldn't book a suitable room during the Chinese New Year, and this place happened to have a suitable room type, so I had to book it! The hotel is too old, but I know it's like this, it's no problem to stay for one night.

The hotel is in a good location and the service is good, but the noise on the 4th floor is too loud. Not only can I not sleep at noon, but it is buzzing all day and night. The air conditioner cannot heat, and there is no heater.

The biggest advantage of Shamian Hotel is that it is located on the scenic Shamian Island. Next to the hotel is Qiaojia Food, which is a must-try for barbecued pork. If you have a thick wallet, you can enjoy some of the best local dishes. A hundred meters from the hotel is the Pearl River. One kilometer east along the Pearl River is the clock tower, and next to it is the Xidi Wharf, which is very convenient for a night cruise on the Pearl River. So it is very convenient to see Western architecture, watch blockbusters, and take a boat, and it is not tiring, because you can go back to rest when you are tired. So it is very convenient for those with elderly people and children. However, there is also something to say here. The hotel does not have high requirements for basic equipment. When it is time to eat, you can close the windows to avoid the smell of oil smoke. There are also hotels a few dozen meters next to the hotel. Breakfast is given to you in a plastic bag. There are fixed boxed milk and boiled eggs. The others may be sweet potatoes and corn, or some cakes. This is a bit unexpected.

Overall, I am quite satisfied. It is an old hotel in the Shamian scenic area and needs to be renovated. However, during the May Day holiday, it is still in such a central location. The price is reasonable. Other hotels are several times more expensive.

An old hotel, suitable for sightseeing, but not for accommodation. We changed hotels in the middle of the night.
