Holiday Inn Express Glasgow - City Ctr Riverside Reviews

Pretty good! I was travelling with my mom and daughter. A taxi ride only cost us a few pounds to get there. We had originally planned to walk from Central Station, but it was raining that day, so we took a cab instead. I was very pleased the front desk arranged a connecting room for us. Afterwards, I went by foot and public transport to the Epilepsy Centre in Glasgow.

Made the booking approximately two weeks in advance and requested (1) a quiet room on a higher floor and (2) 2pm checkout as IHG member (this is standard in Holiday Inn Express in the UK). Upon arrival both requests were ignored and the staff made no additional efforts to address those. Location is good. Breakfast was acceptable, not good.

Pretty good overall. Having an NCP car park directly opposite was very convenient. The only downside was that the entrance was a bit tricky to locate.

Great value, especially for the centre of Glasgow. Only had breakfast there, which had a great choice of hot and cold food. Went for a really nice Thai meal at Thai Orchid - highly recommended 👌

This was my first visit to Glasgow, and the hotel was easy to find. The hotel offered a very comfortable stay, and its location was excellent for getting around. With restaurants and a shopping mall nearby, both dining and shopping were incredibly convenient. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Great location! The hotel is just a short walk from Glasgow Cathedral, both train stations, and the city centre. Highly recommend.

It was a nice hotel with a lovely staff. Free breakfast is not great but it is okay. Location is great!

The hotel boasts a fantastic location, situated right by the river. It's very close to both Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central train stations, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. There's also a great selection of dining options nearby.

Within walking distance of the shopping street, and very close to both the subway and train stations. The price is reasonable, offering good value for money.

We were allocated a double room but were offered a family room when they learnt that we were a family of three (including a kid), for no extra cost. We declined that offer. The room was slightly small, TV operated with a lag and searching for popular channels was a pain. The AC unit was old and not noiseless. The washroom was clean and equipped. Wished that the water from shower was hotter than offered. Breakfast was identical everyday, making it the most boring part of our stay. The property is tucked in one corner of the area and there is not much around in a 100 meter radius unless one is interested to view a slush-filled river.

The hotel is situated by the river, just a 10-minute walk from the train station. The room size was acceptable. However, the main issue is that the hotel is quite old, and its facilities are outdated. The air conditioning was ineffective and extremely loud, making it very cold at night.

The hotel does not have parking lot but they give discounted price for ncp parking.

Exceptional value for money, way better than anything in Edinburgh! I arrived a little after 12 PM, and they allowed me to check in straight away without an early check-in fee – that's a rare and welcome gesture!
