Best Fussen Hotels

"Staying at this hotel while visiting Neuschwanstein Castle in Füssen was a great choice. The hotel is well-equipped, and the rooms are spacious, basically having everything you need except for disposable toiletries. The breakfast selection was extensive. The staff, especially the front desk receptionists, were incredibly warm and welcoming. Even though we drove, the hotel provided free public transport tickets and proactively offered a map. My only minor complaint is that the hotel's promotional image uses a picture resembling Neuschwanstein Castle's exterior, which could be misleading, making people think it's the hotel's facade. However, overall, this hotel is an excellent option when coming to Neuschwanstein."

"It is a nice location for a walk, but there is a river around it. I was not in good condition and I couldn't use the sauna, but I would like to try it next time. The front desk was kind and some people were hard to speak English, but they responded politely. It was large in a lodge-style room."

"Good location about 5 to 10 minutes from Fussen station, about 10 to 15 minutes to main attractions in Fussen (e.g. Museum, Fussen castle). Breakfast was tasty. Room was spacious as well, however curtains need to be drawn as the room is facing the road. Otherwise good view, not too noisy when the windows are closed. They provide 2 bottles of water on arrival which is not topped up, also no kettle or other amenities in the room.  There is a guest laundry available which is 4 Euros and a dryer as well that’s also 4 Euros.  The stay comes with a complimentary Fussen Card which allows you to take the bus to the castles for free, and also have a discounted price at Fussen’s ticketed attractions.  Overall a good stay."

"A very distinctive hotel, just before entering the door, if you have heavy luggage, you need to go up several steps. The available space in the room is not small, including the ability to use some bumps to place luggage, and there are more than ten plugs, which is a bit unexpected. After going out to close the door of the room, you need to turn the key to lock it, otherwise even if you close the door, it can still be opened."

"I was able to stay there without any inconveniences. They were flexible with check-in times and even accommodated me late. The location is also great, it's only a 10-minute walk so there's no need to worry about getting lost. However, there doesn't seem to be an elevator, so it might be difficult if you have a lot of luggage."

"The hotel has a fantastic location, right in the center square of Füssen's old town, and very close to the bus station for Neuschwanstein Castle, about a 3-minute walk. The hotel also offers free bus tickets to Hohenschwangau Castle (parking there by car costs €12 for 4 hours). The rooms are quite large and very soundproof, although the beds are a bit soft. There's a washer and dryer on the B1 level, and a free sauna and lounge on the first floor – perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel breakfast at Riwa restaurant is particularly noteworthy; it's excellent, with a wide variety of dishes, and is by far the best we've had in Germany. They also offer dinner with a good selection. I highly recommend this hotel. Besides the hotel's own parking (which is rather small), there's another parking spot about 100 meters away for €5 per day, which is a very reasonable price."

"I used the dormitory on a solo trip. It is secure and I think that even women can use it with peace of mind. The location is good, so I will use it again when I go to Munich. I went to Neuschwanstein Castle from Munich Central Station, but it was convenient because it was close to ､ station."

"The hotel is just along the road in the town of Fussen, next to the restaurant, opposite the supermarket, free parking, breakfast is not a lot of variety, but also good, service is good, hotel facilities are somewhat old, but stay at the foot of the castle The hotel has a different flavor, you can see the castle by opening the window, the location is great! Walking to the castle is also very close, we just parked the car at the hotel. Walk to the castle, or drive the car to the castle parking lot.
