Best Funabashi Hotels

"I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and it was perfect. Check in went good even with my limited Japanese and their English we made it work. The room is very nice and enough space. Bathroom as well there is a small tub and the shower is awesome with wonderful pressure. Bed is hard at first, but after a few minutes you don't want to get out again. Everything you need is there from towels, kettle, fridge, shampoo and all. They do an eco clean for short stays and a big clean if you stay longer (which is really good). I had breakfast included which you get tickets for and is in the restaurant which is connected to the hotel, very handy. You have 4 options and I found it was very tasty and filling. There are 2 big trainstations not even 10 min walk which will take you everywhere so that's good. Get yourself a Pasmo card and off you go. I would really recommend this hotel as I enjoyed my stay for sure and it had everything you could ask for."

"💤 **Sleeping Experience:** I thought I'd feel like I was crammed in a can of sardines, but I was slapped down in the cabin the second I laid down! The curved ceiling design wasn't oppressive at all, and the ventilation system was super quiet, with air circulation even more comfortable than my air conditioner! The pillows were surprisingly memory foam, with both soft and firm options! The soundproofing was much better than I expected, and I could sleep through the night with or without earplugs—a delight for those with social anxiety. 🛁 **Bathroom Surprises:** I was blown away by the ”space capsule shower”! The water temperature was instant and consistent, and the horse oil shampoo kept my hair frizz-free! The dressing room provided free makeup remover pads and scrunchies—so girl-friendly! There was even a makeup mirror with an LED light hidden in the mirror cabinet, so I didn't have to do my makeup in the dark. I was so touched! 👥 **Socially Friendly Space:** I thought capsule hotels were just for sleeping, but I ended up meeting so many great travelers in the ”shared book bar”! Work quietly during the day with high-speed WiFi (tested, it easily uploads large files), and enjoy board games with fellow backpackers from around the world at night. A microwave is available for rent in the kitchen, so you can enjoy a late-night bowl of instant noodles while gazing out at the city skyline – instantly embodying the same lonely romance you'd find in Japanese dramas!"

"The front desk staff were very warm and patient. To get to the hotel, you just turn right after exiting the ticket gate at JR Funabashi Station, and there's an elevator directly to the 6th-floor reception, so you don't even need to leave the station building. If you're heading to Narita Airport by train, it's a direct ride, taking about an hour to reach the terminal. There's also an airport shuttle bus stop next to the building, though I didn't use it myself. Getting to Tokyo from here is also convenient, with a direct 30-minute train ride to the bustling city center. There are several large shopping malls nearby, along with many convenience stores, restaurants, a Don Quijote, and drugstores. I'd highly recommend this place for tourists visiting Japan, especially for its great value for money. My only minor wish is that the room could be a little bit bigger. Overall, I had a very good experience."

"10 mins walk to JR Train Lines Room is spacious enough Toilet is very clean Got Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Soap Got toilet paper but is recommended to reduce wastage Hairdryer, Kettle, Table light, Mini Fridge is available Wifi is available Staff will leave clean towels at your room door everyday so you dont have to worry about using the same ones for the week if youre a solo backpacker, this would be good as it is quiet place. Opposite the hotel has a 7-11. One or two blocks down around the area you get Lawson. There is a coin laundry nearby the area If you want to ride a bicycle, you can use your HELLO CYCLING app and rent one behind 7-11."

"I stayed here to attend a live concert at Lala Arena Tokyo Bay. I had to transfer, but both trips were only one stop away, so it wasn't a problem at all. If I overlapped with people heading to Disney on the way back, the train would be packed... There's a Family Mart in front of the hotel, and a 7-Eleven on the opposite south exit. The reservation confirmation process when I asked them to store my luggage wasn't smooth, but I was glad they managed to store it for me. The room and hallways were clean. One thing that bothered me was the amount of dust that had accumulated around the light fixtures. It would have been nice if they'd explained how to indicate whether or not cleaning was required for guests staying multiple nights. Also, there were no noisy other guests, so I was able to sleep quietly at night. I'd like to stay here again if I have the opportunity. Thank you."

"i just stayed there for one night while waiting for my next accommodation. but it was a good space for what you get for a capsule hotel. had all the amenities you would need. the lockers aren't to big so depending on the size of your suitcase it can fit but if its a large suitcase most likely not."

"The Showa-style capsule hotel with a history of more than 30 years is easy to find next to Funabashi Station. The clerk does not speak English, so communicate in Japanese or with translation software. There are Chinese and English precautions at the front desk, which the clerk will give. Large luggage can be stored in the stairwell and can be taken at any time. The storage compartment space is okay, the sleeping compartment space is relatively small, and it is really old. The radio no longer works, and the big-butt TV can watch ten channels. The lighting can be adjusted, but the disadvantage is that there is only one charging socket. The bathroom is old but clean, and you can't take a bath from 2 to 4 am every day. At night, there is no place to stay in the public rest area, only in the sleeping compartment. Disposable and public supplies are very complete and sufficient. You have to leave the sleeping compartment at 10 am every day and can stay until 12 am. It doesn't matter if you stay in the same room. I haven't eaten in the restaurant, so I won't comment. The price is indeed an advantage. If you want to experience an old-fashioned capsule hotel, you can consider it. I am still willing to try a capsule hotel with higher specifications."

"This is a very traditional Japanese business hotel. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are neat and clean. The Japanese-style room we stayed in was large, with an in-room toilet and sink, but showering required leaving the room (Japanese-style rooms have their own dedicated bathroom). Breakfast was a Japanese-style breakfast per person, and you needed to arrange a meal time with the front desk the day before. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and you would leave your key at the front desk when you leave. Please note that check-out is early, before 10 AM, so it's recommended to pack your luggage in advance. (We arrived much later because our belongings were so messy, which delayed the cleaning process, etc., and we apologize for that.)"
