The Ballachulish Hotel

"The hotel is housed in an old building, which has a charming atmosphere. It's a good place to stop, whether you're heading towards Fort William or returning to Edinburgh from Paradise Island. The service was good, and the facilities matched the old building and three-star standard. Apparently, there's a small town with even more seafood if you walk down the road in front of the hotel, but we didn't go this time due to time constraints. It's very close to the Three Sisters rock formation, only a 20-minute drive away. We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant, which were quite good."

"We’d had a long journey, Had booked dinner. There was no hot water for a shower or bath. We were told a switch would be flicked and in 10 mins we’d have hot water. It didn’t happen. When we complained, excuses were made, but hardly any apology. Dinner was disappointing, considering the price charged . Overcooked and underseasoned. We remarked on it . No goodwill comeback. Dismissive attitude from the manager. We will not recommend or visit again."

"The mattress of sofa bed is sinking and uncomfortable, not ideally for sleep. Room is quite big for family. No cooking oil and salt, pepper is avaible within room."

"Stayed in this hotel last year and again I. May thos year i have noticed lots of new changes including having a lift which was fab. Rooms are modern and clean. Staff in restaurant very friendly also staff at reception noce also. Over all a lobeky stay"

"Wonderful, well equipped apartment in the beautiful, sunny town of Fort William. Short walk from town centre and public transport, walking distance to Ben Nevis Visitor Centre too. Special treat to have two bathrooms in a two bed apartment. Neil and Tracy were very helpful in advising luggage storage options. Would love to stay again!"
