It's the second time I've stayed at AdAstra. Nothing is too much, very helpful and knowledgeable staff, the hotel is immaculate and the breakfast is very good to start you off on a day of discovery. It's well positioned for the Pitti Palace and Ponte Vechio. The Borgo S. Frediano street is full of bars and restaurants and is 10 mins walk from the hotel. We averaged 16000 steps over 4 days. Bring comfy shoes! At the end of our visit the AdAstra organised a guided tour around the hotel gardens. We were met by Luca Torrigiani who is one of the owners of the Torrigiani gardens and villa containing the hotel. What a pleasure to be escorted round gardens originally granted to the family by the Medici and has fortifications designed by Michaelangelo. I would definitely recommend this tour and it can be organised by the hotel staff. Thank you so much AdAstra for making my visit to Florence so memorable.

Lovely hotel tucked away from the hustle of Florence in Oltarno. Great location, away from tourist hot spot & 10 min walk to Ponte Vechio bridge. Hotel was a stunning tradional building, with an exceptional room. Lovely, helpful staff. Would highly recommend staying when visiting Florence.

This boutique hotel is a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Florence. The rooms are spacious, uniquely decorated, and overlook the beautiful private garden — a rare and peaceful retreat in such a vibrant city. The attention to detail in both the interior design and the service is exceptional. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering great local recommendations that made our visit even more memorable. Breakfast on the terrace was a perfect start to each day. If you’re looking for a romantic, character-filled place to stay in Florence, AdAstra is the one. Highly recommend!

Delightful and comfortable Bed and Breakfast in quiet part of the city. Still easy to get to all the key places. Very stylish accommodation in historic building with lovely terrace overlooking gardens. Quirky modern mixed successfully with ancient building. Big roll top tubs in bedrooms along with modern clean efficient bathrooms. Good breakfast, helpful pleasant staff. We were upgraded to large room with French doors onto terrace with garden views. We look forward to next visit.

Me and my wife recently stayed at Ad Astra in Florence and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything, making it easy to explore all the beautiful sights the city has to offer. The rooms are not only beautiful but also impeccably clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking view from my room, which added an extra touch of magic to my trip. The staff were amazing and incredibly friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality truly made me feel at home. Additionally, the continental breakfast was fantastic, with a great variety of options that could be enjoyed both indoors and outdoors. It was the perfect way to start each day. I strongly recommend Ad Astra to anyone visiting Florence. I look forward to coming back and enjoying another fantastic stay!

Smashing Florence Hotel
A wonderful stay, lovely hotel. It’s nice and quiet, just 5-10 minute walk to central Florence. Staff friendly and attentive. Good continental breakfast. Rooms clean and comfortable and individually decorated which adds to its charm. Would highly recommend.
