"The location is in a very remote place near Selfoss, it's really rural. I used Google navigation but took the wrong road, and the branch road leading to the accommodation was bumpy and difficult to navigate. The room we booked has a kitchen, a toilet, a living room and a bedroom, all of which are very small and we can't even put our luggage there and walk around. The shower water in the room seemed to be unadjustable, sometimes it was cold or scalding. Because the room was so small and messy, I left behind all the yogurt, blueberries and other food I bought when I left. It was discovered 20 minutes after the car was driven out. Most Icelanders can speak English, but this one can't, so we can't communicate. Chinese people do not recommend this one."

Camp Boutique

"A brilliant hotel operating under a glamping experience. The tents are all kept warm with heaters and plug sockets are available in each tent. The shared facilities are very pleasant and the owner is welcoming and informative."

Buubble Hotel - Ölvisholt

"It is nice experience to live in the bubble house in forest. Though we are lucky that we encounter severe storm the day we arrived, but the hotel does not offer earlier check in or later check out possibility, even the wind speed was above 120km/hour. The electricity cut and light during storm felt a bit nervous. It might be an nature issue, I expect service to be more attentive! For the paid price, i would alao expect service center bar and toillet could be seperate space. it is very interesting experience to stay in forest. But one time is ok, because the service is not good for its price. A pity."

Skálatjörn Guesthouse

"We have spent a wonderful night at Skalatjorn Guesthouse. It's located in a very quiet and beautiful area. It offers you a whole fully furnished apartment in a marvellous environment! Private bathroom, huge living room with a small kitchen as well, free parking and nice view from your window! What a lovely place. Every afternoon you have the chance to cuddle and now the sweet Icelandic goats that the owner is trying to look after and protect very passionately. We really suggest it! Well done!"

Lambastadir Guesthouse

"The free sauna room starts at 8 o'clock, no reservation is required, and it is very clean. There were too many people in the pool, so I couldn't soak in it. The breakfast is quite rich, and the landlady is very friendly. The decoration of the corridor is very interesting I sent an email in advance to inform that I was on a honeymoon trip, and they sprinkled small heart sequins on the bed for me, and even arranged a room with a good view (the end of the corridor is not very noisy 😊) A homestay that can feel caring and warm is worth it!"
