"We stayed here with our two children, aged 1 and 4, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing for a hotel presenting itself as a Kinderhotel. The kids’ club only opens at 9:00, and the baby area/childcare only at 10:00. Even during opening hours, we did not feel that it provided the level of childcare or kids’ club experience we expected. Most concerning, we witnessed one of the staff members shouting at our 4-year-old daughter, which is completely unacceptable in a hotel focused on families and young children. The food is very basic, and breakfast opens surprisingly late for a family hotel. Anyone travelling with small children knows they often wake up very early, yet there is no breakfast and no play area available for them during those early hours. Dinner was also disappointing — even coffee is not included and has to be paid for separately. During the day there is very little food or snacks available, which again is difficult when staying with young children. Unfortunately, we also found the staff in general to be quite unfriendly and not particularly welcoming. The hotel itself is in a nice area and may perhaps work better as a winter family hotel. However, based on our experience, as a summer Kinderhotel it falls far below what we expected, especially considering that families with young children are supposed to be the main focus. We chose a Kinderhotel specifically because we were travelling with a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old, but unfortunately the experience simply did not deliver what we expected from this concept."

"Perhaps this is a good option in winter when staying for longer, but don't expect anything fancy. Service was nice enough and pizzas were good. Paid to stay at "Appartement Jagdhof", but was put in "Appartement Alpenflex" instead. Had to pay an additional cleaning fee (75€) at the hotel that was not mentioned at the time of booking. There was no sauna or hammam as advertised. Only one room was dark enough to sleep in (we had four room to choose from although there was only three of us) as there were no dark curtains and outdoor lights shone straight to the bedrooms until midnight. Bedroom carpets and other long-term items (like chairs, floors) need a proper wash.. Maybe you are expected to use shoes inside?"

"We had a nice stay at Almlust Flachau. We stayed from Thursday till Monday with late checkout, which is at 12:00. It was well cleaned and it has friendly personnel. Breakfast was good, swimming pool was fun and relaxing. Rooms (suite & almlust Plus) were pleasant."

"What a fantastic hotel! We were initially skeptical whether a bike hotel could also be "cool" for families, but the D&D really manages to bridge the gap. There was always something for everyone – whether it was waffles for breakfast for the kids, spinning for Mom, or a wonderfully cold Baumgartner beer for Dad after a bike ride. The spa facilities also catered to everyone. Top-notch pools, great saunas, delicious snacks and teas to recharge, and as a special highlight, ice bathing in the Enns River behind the hotel. A fantastic hotel that we wholeheartedly recommend! Last but not least: Thank you to everyone who made this holiday so special.
