"So my company usually books me at a different hotel, so when they booked me at this hotel I was exited to finally get a chance to try it. Compliments to the chef in this hotel, I really loved the food and mind you I didn't get a chance to go for buffet, it was all room service. The chef is definitely one for the keeps. The room and bathroom were adequately spacious and I loved that you get an iron and ironing board in the room - very convenient. The reception staff not so great though but I wouldn't say all out bad but there's room for improvement."

Kruger View Chalets
"The standard rooms, chalets and cabins are not worth the money they charge for them. Most are far away from where one's vehicle must park. The perimeter walls to the property look "dodge" and unsafe. We were not prepared to stay in the chalets, rooms or cabins and had to resort to taking one of the bigger river view chalets for our peace of mind and safety, this was at an additional cost of close to R500 for the night. In general, the place is dated and is in serious need of maintenance. IN general, the prices are over the top and are exploiting the traveller by charging a hefty price because it has a view of the Kruger Park. "

"I consider myself one of the oldest customers of the Mercure Hotel since many years, when the city of nelspruit was being built and one of the reasons was for the location and for being one of the most affordable and well-regarded hotels at the time. Unfortunately, I write as a constructive criticism that I don't have the same opinion, first because of the fact that it remains stagnant in time (cleanliness of the place, decoration , wifi service and quality of service) and mainly because of what happened in my last stay. Less than a month that did, during the stay for a few days it was paid in full ( 4 days), for other reasons we had to leave early on 2nd day . we had been told on the instructions of the hotel manager that the refund would be made by bank and only after 2 weeks at our insistence by email it was replied that it would not be possible."

Amazing homely hospitality, wonderful food by an outstanding chef and her team. Stunning gardens. Enjoyed a rejuvenating spa session. We will definitely be back. A gem of a getaway. Just check road conditions as there was an accident on the one highway and stop and go's on the other. Obviously nothing to do with Highgrove but the trip can be frustrating."

"Bernadette is such a lovely and welcoming host. I had a fantastic time from start to finish and beyond. The room was huge and very comfortable. Its very cool how many wild animals you can see just from your patio. I didn't get a chance to use the kitchen and many of the facilities however everything looked amazing. The drive to Crocodile Bridge gate is under 30 minutes too which is handy. The advice i received was so helpful and i would gladly go back and spend even more time at Serenity"

"Ndhula Lodge offers exceptional accommodation and overall great experience. We stayed for 3 nights and used 2 full days in Kruger park. Ndhula provided boxed breakfasts and one packed lunch… The only reason why I have taken one star off is the significant difference in packing and content of the lunch box both days… second day we got sandwiches with lettuce and cheese, and for lunch- the wraps were almost empty… no forks for the main part of the dish- potato salad… pity this was such a big part of the overall experience in Ndhula that i considered it important to share"
