"This property no longer looks like what it does in the photos provided. We booked this hotel as it states all rooms have air condition, free wifi, full kitchen and breakfast.... We checked in and none of this was correct. The place is run down, almost looks like it has been abandoned - after we checked in, I tried to ask for room with AC as my friend suffers from a sleep condition so AC is required, we were then advised we need to pay extra $40 USD for rooms with AC. We were then advised that the kitchen is closed and that we have to be taken to town (we had to pay the driver $20) to drive us 5 mins down the road. Luckily we came across another resort behind the 3 Pigs restaurant called NASAMA RESORT - not only are they cheaper, they have all the amenities, amazing pool, secluded beach and their breakfast is amazing.... Stay there instead!"

"This hotel has many entertainment activities, such as golf competitions and morning hikes, which are all organized by the entertainment department employees. There is also a children's club for those with children, where employees teach children how to make local cookies, and there are also all kinds of recreational facilities. Breakfast was very rich. There is a resident singer in the evening. Awesome~ Will come again next time!"

"There’s a lot going for this place, the view, the cleanliness, the service…….BUT. We stayed in Villa 13 and had issues with the electricity shutting down (no other villa had a problem). Not ideal when you’re trying to cool down a 7 month old baby in an air conditioned room during the night. The hot water worked only when it wanted to. The washing machine didn’t work either. For the price we paid for a family to stay in Villa 13 it was a little disappointing to be honest. We were offered another villa thanks to the management and the friendly staff."

"Absolute deception! I never leave reviews, but feel its absolutely (!) needed because this place needs to be closed down and fully renovated before anyone hurts themselves here or something really bad happens. Beware, false advertising, beyond horrible conditions. No pool, no restaurant outside specific eating hours (max 6pm). Staff were absolutely lovely but it stops there. Rusty nails, screw and broken metal in children play areas including seats/backrests, no staff after 6pm, no lights in room, no working TV(tv power plug is not even compatible with power sockets), looks beyond abandoned but still charges full rates. Spoke to staff before arrival and No one mentioned anything... specifically asked about food and drink options + availability due to traveling with kids. BEYOND Horrible stay, we have children and booked for a week but left within 24hrs. Again staff is lovely and we feel for them dealing with this, but this place should not be bookable all."

"I travelled to Port Vila as part of a team of 4 volunteers - we all volunteer for Taskforce Kiwi and were travelling on to Ambrym Island to carry our damage assessments after Cyclone Lola. We stayed twice at Kaiviti Motel - and the owners and staff were wonderful - very accommodating and friendly. We didn't have a car but everything is in walking distance - the location is perfect. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen, and found it to be very clean and suited us well. We were either working or in the pool."

"South Pacific Memories is the perfect spot for a relaxing and amazing holiday. The diving was fantastic, we saw both dugongs and a nautilus as well as lots of colourful fish. Anne and Petter are the perfect hosts and together with their staff made the stay impeccable."

Tamanu on the Beach
"At our third attempt, we got to Vanuatu and managed to stay at the Tamanu. Exchanged cash at the airport – rate as at 13/4 was VUV150 to GBP1 and VUV75 to 1AUD which didn’t seem bad. Tamanu picked us up for our 40 min transfer to the resort. Warm welcome when we arrived and our bungalow – 1 bed with plunge pool was gorgeous – great views of the sea, clean and modern and a large bathroom. Great WIFI in all areas of the resort including the room and nice to have fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee. Not much in the area so mainly ate on site and the food was tasty, varied and reasonably priced. Breakfast was included in the rate and this included A La Carte options which were great. Also popped next door to the Pizza place one afternoon for a late lunch and that was well worth the visit (5 min walk along the beach) and as a small business trying to get going they would welcome the support – cash only there. Large pool area which was great to relax in and by. Plenty of quiet areas around the resort and a great place to chill out. Met the owners who were very kind and helpful. All the staff were great and couldn’t do enough for you. Would recommend a stay at Tamanu – you will not be disappointed."

"Stayed here for 2 nights with my family of 4. Mixed feelings as the location is spectacular, particularly once the tide fills the little bay out the front which made it great for my kids to swim without any worries. As you exit the little bay and snorkel to the right the coral is really exceptional but need to be careful of the currents as there is a rip. We had a family bungalow which was large and comfortable enough. Shower was cold and a trickle though and there were quite a few mosquitoes around. Restaurant and bar area is a nice open space and food was ok We did a fishing trip with them which I wouldn't recommend at all. Boat and fishing gear had all seen better days and 'guides' had no idea"

"We booked a week here aiming to relax, unwind and escape from the daily grind - and The Moso delivered! We stayed in the lap pool villa which is separated from the bistro and etc by a short walk. From our villa we had spectacular views of the passage and could easily walk straight out to snorkel (in reef shoes! Don't forget your reef shoes!). We also walked across to Embas Beach for better swimming and did a day tour around the island for more snorkelling. But what really made our stay special is the way the resort is connected to the local culture and village. We got to know several of the staff quite well, and are grateful to the bottom of our hearts for their warmth, generosity and kindness. We also really appreciated that the resort is fully off-grid and that as much of the produce as possible is sourced locally. The food was fresh and tasty, and the cocktails are very good as well. One word of caution though: if you are expecting a 5-star, glamorous resort with all mod cons on tap, this isn't that! It's a remote location and that's what makes it so special. Come as you are and take things as they come and you'll have a great time."

"Beautiful beachside resort with a stunning coral reef and loads of fish just out from the beach. Amazing staff and tasty food with extensive menu and vegan options. Facilities are amazing: kayaks, SUPs and snorkels you can borrow, pool, gym and shop, plus you can book for the staff to take you on a boat tour spotting dugongs or to another reef. The team here are truly amazing and really go above and beyond to ensure you have the best holiday"

"We were so impressed with our recent stay. Having previously stayed 7 years ago we we were eager to stay again with our 4 children. We stayed in the Penthouse which was a great size for our family. The complex has such a great layout - breakfast on the deck whilst the kids played on the beach. Our included breakfast was always delicious. The prices for the other meals and drinks were cheaper than Australian pricing. The complex is just a short stroll to the beach bar. If you're there Friday night the fire show was amazing! A special shout out to Juliet and Nanny Solemae ( I'm not sure I spelt that right, sorry!) and driver Carol, they were always so accommodating and patient. Thank you again for a memorable stay."
