Clean rooms and amenities. Staff were super friendly and the location was fantastic! The activities managed by the staff while I wasn’t around to take part was a great idea for travellers to meet new people and get out and about!

Extremely nice position with affordable prices. Just few minutes walk to the prince street. Also , it’s really easy to remember where the hostel is located without using the google map, just behind the statue of Adam Smith.
The staffs are nice, and all is cleaned. The locker is big enough with a table at the top where you can tidy your baggage (don’t forget your belongings put on there).
Moreover, the food served is very nice and the live band also. You also have like 10% off on the menu as a guest!
Last but not least, just try to join the wts group of the hostel. There are really nice suggestions like site-viewing, restaurant, etc. from other visitors. It really give you lots of nice idea about where to go at Edinburgh if you didn’t plan anything yet.

The location is indeed great, making it convenient to everything. After all, for a youth hostel costing six or seven hundred yuan a night, I know I can't be too picky.
But the courtyard rooms are just 28 people sharing one room. While the windows let in plenty of light, they can't be opened, leaving the room completely devoid of ventilation. The sour smell of shoes, rotten clothes, damp, undried towels, the tang of pickled cabbage, and cigarette smoke—a strange mix of odors—is unbearable. Sleeping at night feels suffocating. I checked out at 6 a.m. for a 12 a.m. flight, and even after leaving, the room's smell still lingered on my backpack and clothes. After all, it's 28 people sharing one large room. There's a bar on the first floor, no restaurant. This youth hostel I encountered in Europe is the most nauseating I've ever encountered.

The location is excellent, convenient for visiting attractions and the train station. The facilities are very convenient, with everything you need. Remember to bring slippers and bath towels (rental is 3 pounds). The staff are very friendly.

It was a really nice trip. It was my first time staying in a so-called backpacker hostel. Overall, it was great.
First, the location was great, close to popular tourist attractions.
Second, it was clean and tidy (ʘ▽ʘ)👍
Third, the price was right. Not too expensive.
