"A very pleasant small hotel. Our room was an ok size off the courtyard with a sparkling small swimming pool, immaculately clean, good WiFi, fridge, a/c, TV we didn't try and tea and coffee. Breakfast was a choice of cooked or cold options with cereals, tea and coffee. Not the largest breakfast but ok to start your day. Dinner isn't offered and the nearest restaurant, a decent large family place serving all options, was 600 metres walk. Other places from 1.5km, too far without a car. Prices for airport drop off which most people will be here for was an efficient but pricey 250 rand. The second stay was not as good. Entry by ringing a number, costly for international travellers arriving and then forgot the airport taxi for a flight home."

Villa Stella Guest House ★★★★

"I am a regular at Villa Stella. Mostly suited for business trips, the location is central enough to access any part of Johannesburg and OR Tambo airport. The B&B is within a secure gated clean and pretty housing complex on the fringes of Edenvale. I felt 100% safe going for afternoon or early morning walks. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable, quiet and private. I have stayed in almost every one of them over the years. If you are lucky to get room number 4 the large balcony faces the pool and sunrise. Room 3 gives a great view of the sunset. Hosts Fabrizio and Dita are always on hand and serve up a great breakfast. I know they provide dinner by arrangement too. There is a fully functional kitchen in the main area if you want to do your own cooking."
