"We booked a room overlooking the Place Duguesclin for a 3 night break. The room does not have air conditioning but a large fan was provided which together with the nature of the stone walls made the room perfectly comfortable in 29`C heat. There was a separate toilet and bathroom within the bedroom which was clean and contained everything you would expect in a small 'boutique' French hotel. The large double bed was very comfortable for a great night's sleep. The staff were helpful, friendly and fluent in english. The exterior garden overlooking the ramparts was a bit of a bonus for a quiet afternoon drink away from the hustle of the main tourist streets across the square. There is a tiny 4 person ( 2 with luggage) lift to take you from floor to floor which is helpful to avoid the stone stairwell. The central location of this hotel is great the only real issue is parking if you come with a car. You have to time your arrival to avoid the busiest part of the day - or simply be very patient driving in circles around the car park waiting for someone to leave. Once you are in Dinan there are a myriad of places to eat and souvenir shops to visit. I highly recommend a walk to Lehon and then along the river Rance back to Dinan up Rue Jezual, visiting all the little artist galleries along the way. The Port du Dinan is also a lovely spot for a glass of wine and to watch the boats go by. I would have no hesitation in staying here again."

"A pleasant and peaceful stay, only a smoker on the floor below was a bit of a nuisance. It's a shame we didn't have a room with a window. Skylights are less appealing as they don't offer a view of the outside."

"We booked the spa, but there were eight of us in it and we couldn't really enjoy it, which was a shame! The jacuzzi is only big enough for two people, and the space is far too small. Breakfast was standard, nothing special. The owners were very welcoming and attentive."
