"Booked this hotel as we were attending women’s football at Derby Pride Park. We used the NCP car park which was only. 5min walk. All the staff were smart, well mannered and helpful. The room was a good size and were surprised to have a full sized bath as well as a powerful shower. Fantastic breakfast selection where all food was replenished as soon as it was getting low. The only negatives for us was the fact we found some rubbish near the bed along with evidence of dust, one of the bed sheets was torn and one of the bedside wall lamp units was hanging off the wall but still functional. Overall a really lovely hotel and ideally situated for the football stadium as well as taking in the local sites/ shopping centre (straight over the road)"

"I was very disappointed with my stay. The room I was given appeared to be a staff bedroom, and the experience was poor from start to finish. The lock on the door was inadequate (the latch did not fully extend) and left me feeling unsafe — I ended up placing a chair against the door overnight for peace of mind. The separate bathroom was also insecure. It contained an old shower cubicle with a “staff only” sign and was being used to store towels, meaning any staff member with a key could have entered while I was inside. Once again, I had to use a chair as a makeshift lock. The bedroom itself lacked basic comforts and cleanliness: there was no bedside table, the bed was pushed against a filthy wall, and there was no mattress protector, the curtains were falling from the curtain rail. These details made the space feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. When I returned the key in the morning, no one asked how my stay was, which made me wonder if management were already aware of the substandard conditions. Overall, as a solo female staying in this room I felt extremely vulnerable and uncomfortable in this accommodation and would not stay here again."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Coach House. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the complimentary brownie was a lovely touch. The room was beautifully decorated, modern, and had everything we needed. We stayed with our dog, who thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space. "For the price it was decent. Staff were very friendly. Good food options. Room was a decent size and whilst it seemed clean there was such a bad smell in it and through some of the building - a little like chip grease. All the fabric smelt of it as did my clothes once I got home. It is also very noisy with near to no insulation so take earplugs if you want a decent sleep."
