Situated in Upper Yubeng Village, you can even see the main peaks of Meili Snow Mountain – Kawagebo and Miancimu Peak – right from the doorstep. Overall, it offers outstanding value for money and is highly recommended.

The facilities were just alright, and there weren't enough bathrooms. Front desk service was also pretty standard. I asked the owner, who seemed like a regular guy, about places to eat nearby. He suggested a few spots that were a decent walk away – not too far to be exhausting, but certainly not just around the corner. The hostel's WiFi was hit-or-miss; sometimes it connected fine, but other times the signal was weak. Streaming videos would occasionally buffer, though it wasn't a constant issue. Basically, most of the time I could use my phone as I pleased, but sometimes I'd have to wait a few seconds.

The room's cleanliness was absolutely appalling!! I booked a first-floor room, but was assigned a basement room instead – completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, there was a constant, loud gurgling sound from the drains right outside the window. And worst of all, the pillow had dried boogers on it 😭

The host offers incredibly thoughtful and attentive service, even providing late-night pick-ups from the airport or train station. The room itself is quite quiet, and the place is adorned with a beautiful variety of succulents. The bathroom facilities, however, could definitely use some improvement. There was also a surprisingly large 'resident' fly that we had to lock in the bathroom at night. But given the very affordable price, it still offers excellent value for money.

This hotel was an absolute nightmare. It was so bad that even a month later, I'm still compelled to leave a negative review. We booked two rooms, and both were equally terrible.

Facilities: Well-equipped and smart. Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean.

The room was clean and tidy, and the service was exceptionally warm and welcoming. The meals offered were affordable and the portions were generous. Highly recommended for your trip.

I rarely leave bad reviews. I usually try to be understanding and forgiving, but honestly, reflecting on this experience only makes me angrier. We arrived quite late that day, it was already past 9 PM, almost 10 PM. By the time we got to Yubeng, we were completely exhausted. We wanted to ask if the staff could help us find a ride or something, as we were carrying a lot of heavy bags and were only a few hundred meters away. We called the front desk, and they quoted us 60 RMB *per person* for that short distance. There were two front desk numbers. When I called the first one, the person answered with 'Moshi Moshi' and then spoke something completely unintelligible to me. I thought, 'Are you Japanese?' Their attitude was absolutely terrible. In the end, we had to walk up ourselves. The road was awful, truly awful and all uphill, even more treacherous than the paths leading up from Nylon. When we finally arrived at the supposed hotel location, we couldn't find the hotel itself because it just looked like a restaurant. I called the second front desk number, and the person on the other end replied, 'I'm already in bed!!!' Ultimately, we had to ask locals for directions, and it took us over twenty minutes to finally find it. Once we finally got inside, the front desk was completely deserted. We called him again, and he told us to find our own room keys. After we did, we asked if we didn't need to register. He simply said, 'No need! Your rooms are over there; just go.' I truly hope the authorities look into this seriously! Seriously, we were so excited to come to Yubeng, but this place completely ruined it, making me never want to return. This was a room costing over 300 RMB, yet there wasn't even a single bottle of water, and the sheets were incredibly filthy. I genuinely rarely leave bad reviews, but this time I've truly had enough!!! Later, I checked other reviews and saw his replies always blaming 'tough conditions in Yubeng' or something similar. But what do tough conditions have to do with *your service*? And that 'I'm already in bed!' comment... I was absolutely livid, seriously. Anyone planning a good trip to Yubeng absolutely *must* steer clear of this place. It will genuinely ruin your experience. On top of everything, there were bugs in the room—a really big one!—that had even crawled onto the bed.

We've been blessed with fantastic weather every single day since we arrived. The guesthouse owner's little dog seems to be Paopao, the internet-famous dog; she even led the way for us and is incredibly perceptive! What's more, in Yubeng, a place I've always longed to visit, I managed to capture some truly once-in-a-lifetime photos! The 12-bed dorm room was very spacious. With fewer guests these past few days, our stay was incredibly comfortable. From the room, you get a direct view of the snow-capped mountains, and it's also conveniently close to the Ice Lake trailhead. I'll definitely bring my friends back to stay here next time!

The room was impeccably clean and the environment was fantastic. After a tiring trek to the village from Ninong, I had such a wonderfully comfortable night's sleep here. The location is superb, offering breathtaking views of the mountain sunset and the stunning 'Golden Mountain' phenomenon at sunrise. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, and the service was absolutely outstanding. Easily the most comfortable stay I've had in Yubeng! 😆😎😘

There's a restaurant in the hotel lobby that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food was delicious! Our room was very clean, and the owner was incredibly thoughtful, even upgrading our room type, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend staying here!

perfect location in the upper village! the room was beautiful and spacious! two bathrooms for both dorms was not enough and they were alwas incredibly dirty! except for that, great place to stay!

Absolutely terrible. The shared bathrooms are mixed-gender, there's no light by the bed, and the bedding was so damp that I broke out in a full-body rash just minutes after lying down. The door wouldn't even close properly. Dozens of guests were competing for only two bathrooms, each a cramped 9 square meters for all showering, washing, and toilet needs. Honestly, if you can avoid it, don't come here. Don't try to save a few bucks; there are definitely much better options out there.

It’s not a bad hostel but it’s probably the worst option in Yubeng! The food at the restaurant isn’t bad though and reasonably priced compared to some other places.
