"The sea is just outside the door, and there are barbecue facilities in the yard. There is a small kitchen and a large refrigerator in the room. I went to the supermarket to buy some seafood and cooked a hot pot, and then went to the beach for a walk in the breeze. It was a good stay experience."

"The rooms are very basic and have an old-school charm. Our room was satisfactorily clean and had an air purifier in addition to the heat/ac unit, which was appreciated. A hair dryer is provided as well as liquid hand soap and body wash mounted on the walls. No suitcase stand is provided but there is one chair in the room. Check in was easy and we left the door keys on the dresser at checkout. Our room was located around the back of the motel where it seemed that there were long-term guests that were loud late into the evenings and early in the mornings while the front of the motel appeared to be mostly empty, but the location on Manteo was nice and we were able to walk to several nearby stores and restaurants."

"My wife and I enjoyed our stay. It’s a tiny 50s hotel being renovated by a young couple. The location is ideal—just a short walk to the beach. Not far from the most famous lighthouse on our coast. And you can walk down to Diamond Shoals Seafood for dine in, take out, or cook your own. We stayed in an efficiency room and benefited from having a fridge and range."

"Our stay was fine with the exception of someone from the office knocking on our door a half hour prior to the time to check out to see if we were going to check out (which we were in the process of packing and almost done). We felt that was rude especially since I had already taken some luggage to our vehicle."
