The Sea Ranch Resort ★★★
"Great view of the ocean. OBX is older mom and pop establishments so it wont have the feel or amenities of the big hotel chains but it has what you need. Clean room, great beach access and a refreshing pool. Beach wasn't crowded and had lots of shells. Pool was older but clean, the surrounding facilities could use some TLC but we were never crowded at the pool. We saw the other posts about the elevator issues and the one elevator still was out of commission. We had the second level so it didnt affect us. There was no cleaning of the rooms which didnt affect us since we only had a 2 night stay and we wouldn't use it. Very reasonably priced. We didnt go to the bistro in the hotel but it seemed to offer a lot of great things."
The Sanderling ★★★★
"We traveled here to enjoy the area and amenities. Unfortunately the hotel had just been damaged by water and active water restoration was happening while we were there. It was smelly, loud and disgusting. Cannot believe we paid what we did to have to deal with this."
Days Inn by Wyndham Kill Devil Hills Oceanfront - Wilbur ★★★
"Not bad 👍"
Scarborough Inn ★★★
Hotel Manteo, Trademark Collection by Wyndham ★★★
Hilton Garden Inn Outer Banks/Kitty Hawk ★★★
White Doe Inn Bed & Breakfast ★★★★
"Pros, the inn was great, very clean, decorated very well, the food was excellent, the staff was very friendly. The grounds were very nice with firepits, gathering areas and such. the location was in walking distance to everything. the dog friendly garden bedroom with an outside entrance was nice. great bed and comfortable. the fireplace was a nice add. Cons. the garden bedroom was located right next to the kitchen. you could hear everything going on in the kitchen. pots and pans, plate noise, conversations. it would start when they were getting ready for breakfast, no sleeping in. no afternoon naps after coming back from sightseeing because they were getting the happy hour food ready. the last night they were having a special dinner for a party of 13 people. the prep and clean up for that lasted until at least 9pm. the wife and I are 70 and we like our quiet times when we stay on our travels. this room was not it. I understand it is an old building but more sound proofing to the walls and door would definitely make an improvement. I cannot attest to how the other rooms are. We spent 3 nights there. The garden bedroom is the only pet friendly room."
The Tranquil House Inn ★★
"Nice quaint hotel, friendly staff, and excellent location. Lives being close to water. Not alot of parking, but no problem since we walked everywhere. Good breakfast. All rooms were outside entrance which was only negative experience. Would go again."

Mariner Inn and Suites
Pamlico Station Edgecamp
"This is a very unusual hotel. There is no lobby, no check-in desk, no people. The only interior spaces are the rooms themselves. After you book online, the hotel emails you a code to open the door to your assigned room. If you have any questions or concerns, you text a (very responsive) concierge. It's basically an Airbnb in the form of a hotel. I loved it. The rooms themselves are spacious and beautifully apportioned. Even the most basic room has a kitchen with a refrigerator, oven, and stove, plus a comfy couch, a television, and a dining area. The WiFi is strong and reliable. There is an outdoor wellness deck with a sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge. The whole place looks and feels spotless and brand new (because it is). The location and setting are fabulous. The beach is just blocks away. There's a pizzeria across the road. They offer a discount on the booking rate to North Carolina residents. If you're looking for an uncomplicated, no-fuss place to stay in Rodanthe, this is it."
Holiday Inn Express NAGS HEAD OCEANFRONT by IHG
"Very comfortable feeling"
Sea Horse Inn and Cottages
"Great stay."
Hilton Vacation Club Beachwoods Kitty Hawk
"We were happy overall with the accommodations. Check in was simple, the room was spacious and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen had all the necessities, there was a washer and dryer and they provided detergent. The bathrooms had a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Very nice to see/have. I was a bit put off by the ants and spiders I killed in the room and the mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinets. Again overall great weekend get away."
Hatteras Island Inn
"Great price. Room was outdated but very clean and staff was very friendly. It was close to amenities. Very comfotable room. We would book again."
John Yancey Oceanfront Inn
"Hotel was nice. Room was clean but was able to hear everything outside. Biggest disappointment was had to leave a day early for my dad to have knee surgery and they would not discount or refund."
Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Nags Head Oceanfront

Comfort Inn South Oceanfront
Outer Banks Inn
Holiday Inn Express KITTY HAWK – OUTER BANKS by IHG
"Great location, easy to find and everything 'as advertised'. Decor in room was very nice, seemed updated! We had very little shower pressure, yet it was enough to actually 'shower'. I'm glad the window shade was heavy duty, it kept the heavy sun out to be as cool as possible. The air was a bit loud and literally hot/cold- we just kept it cooler than preferred to ensure it didn't get/stay hot. it was a GREAT touch they left it on cool for our arrival- thank you! Pool looked inviting, we just couldn't make time to use it. We booked it last minute to join a family vaca opportunity- they were in a bigger house up north, we got as close as we could- great option. We'll be back!!"
Comfort Inn on the Ocean
"It's okay in all aspects."
Sand Spur Cottages

Saltaire Cottages
"This is how a beach Vacation should be ! Old world charm and a beach that is not over crowded and lined with Hotels and McMansions!! Unspoiled We have been coming here close to 30 years ( only missing a couple). The current Owners are so gracious to us and appreciate the longevity of us year after coming back. The beauty of Saltaire is really the set up. Having your own 2 bedroom units ( the ones we stay in). There are as many of 18 of us and we all hang around the great pool and beach all day and share the common spaces throughout. Then we can all retreat to our own family units. You cannot get that with a big house with 18 people together and the chaos that usually goes along with if after a week!. The location is perfect, across the beach and right on Beach road and next to Art's place and the Newer cigar and Bourbon bar Tap That. The grounds are kept clean as well as the pool daily. I do not know how they do it but the cleaning staff are truly great ! They are so considerate of everyone they meet and are eager to please. They have been there for a number of years now and Dan and Amanda must be doing something right to keep them. ( keep doing it guys).. We look forward to coming back next year and have the same great experience we have come to love. The Gregory Family"
Colonial Inn
"Our stay was fine with the exception of someone from the office knocking on our door a half hour prior to the time to check out to see if we were going to check out (which we were in the process of packing and almost done). We felt that was rude especially since I had already taken some luggage to our vehicle."
