I stayed in a couple of hotels in the Wudang mountain top area and this hotel might be the best one. The rooms are brand new, the reception is exceptionally friendly and helpful and the price is better than some way worse hotels offer. Don’t expect western breakfast, but the restaurant staff is friendly and the food is tasty. There is a cool coffee shop on the first floor. The only downside I saw is the hotel is right next to the bus stop and it get’s noisy, but on the other hand it’s convenient. It’s 5 min walk to the cable car for Golden Palace, but Purple Palace will require a long hike or bus drive to the other side of the mountain.

The hotel is conveniently located right at Qiontai Station, making it incredibly easy to find. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. They also provided disposable bathtub liners and herbal bath sachets. And the complimentary brewed tea and coffee were delicious.

The facilities here are incredibly well-equipped. The ambiance is lovely, with a comfortable Japanese-style design that makes you feel very relaxed. I especially enjoyed the complimentary "Shanye Zen Tea" Daoist wellness Solomon's Seal tea provided upon check-in – it was absolutely delicious. They have a limited number of rooms, so it's definitely essential to book well in advance if you're planning a peak season visit. Guests also get to enjoy three types of complimentary wellness teas, all of which are excellent, and free coffee is also provided. This was honestly the highlight of our entire trip! We had such a comfortable stay for one night that we immediately extended for another. I would have loved to stay a third night, but unfortunately, they were already fully booked. Their restaurant is also fantastic; it's usually the busiest spot for lunch. Everything is spotless and hygienic! To all my ladies visiting Qiongtai, you absolutely *must* choose this place! The location is superb. It's directly accessible from Qiongtai Station upon alighting, just a short walk to the cable car station, and only 60 meters from Qiongtai Zhongguan. For destinations towards Taizipo, you can easily catch a bus right from the hotel entrance. The service was outstanding. The front desk ladies were incredibly warm and helpful. Housekeeping was very prompt in cleaning the room and delivering water. A male staff member even went out of his way to help us buy things in the pouring rain. They also surprised me with a complimentary Basque cheesecake for my birthday! Breakfast was delicious, and we ended up eating at the restaurant every day. I highly recommend the braised yellow croaker – the fish is truly a Shiyan specialty, especially when paired with Huangjing wine. Our hotel suite was spacious and offered excellent value for money. The down pillows and duvet were incredibly comfortable, and the shower had great hot water pressure. Plus, the drains and toilet were free of any unpleasant odors. The hotel also features a cafe with good coffee, known for its beautiful latte art. I highly recommend the handmade Basque cheesecake prepared by one of the staff members. I even saw the preparation process – they use generous amounts of fresh milk and butter, ensuring a fresh and absolutely delicious product! This hotel boasts an extremely convenient location, right at the Qiongtai bus stop and just a short walk to the cable car station for Golden Peak. Zhongguan Temple is right next door, making it easy to attend their morning and evening chanting sessions. After 5 PM, bus services cease, and the area becomes incredibly quiet. The hotel itself also features excellent soundproofing. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, giving it a very unique and tasteful feel. The mountains are right outside your window. The room was pleasantly cool, and we had no problem sleeping without AC at night. During check-in, I casually mentioned feeling a bit carsick, and the lovely front desk staff quickly brought me their homemade hawthorn tea, which was absolutely delicious. Immediately after booking, the guesthouse host contacted us with directions. Upon arrival, someone met us and helped with our luggage. After a smooth check-in, we received thoughtful tips and a complimentary herbal tea. The restaurant staff were also incredibly attentive, even helping to bring our meals directly to our room. In short, all our dining and accommodation needs were perfectly met at the guesthouse, making everything incredibly convenient. The room was spacious and very clean, and the bathroom even featured a huge bathtub! The view from the room was stunning, offering panoramic views of distant mountains. The decor was very cozy and inviting. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent and offered great value for money; the stir-fried pork with fresh bamboo shoots was particularly delicious. Choosing Yunwai was absolutely the best decision for our Wudang trip. The facilities are top-notch, and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive – truly exceptional service.
