First opinion,it’s a terrible hotel-to stay with room in not so good condition. The room was full of dust with old soiled curtains, carpets and with poor maintenance of air condition facility. I was charged early check in charges only to allow them to clean the room and service the AC. Rather we could have waited in the reception as we could hardly use the room. Almost the entire day until 5 PM maintenance and cleaning activities were carried out.
Only after intervention from trip.com executive they changed the room to a better one.
It’s sad that being part of the Accor group, cleanliness of rooms and maintenance standards are not on par with other hotels of Accor group.
Hence I wouldn’t ever consider for my next stay and when I checked other reviews, many of them had similar complaint and issues.
I stay quite often in other hotels due to my frequent travel and I have never had such experience and in particularly with hotels maintained by Accor.

It was good experience, but furniture was bit old as well as the carpet in tue corridor was old. It needs a complete renovation.

The Mercure Hotel is great for families. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite on the 35th floor. The views were amazing. We could see the marina and part of the palm. There is a gym and swimming pool. Small children can also play in the supervised kids' play area.

I am disappointed with my booking for a 5 star hotel as Mercure. They kept us waiting until the last minute for check-in.There were a lot of people in the hotel with a lot of children. It was not pleasant. 500AED for 2 nights deposit is way too high for this hotel.
I had to ask for a bottle of water every time because the service was not there.
Price quality ratio is not worth it. I don't think I will make a booking.
This hotel deserves more for being well located in the famous street than the current staff !

They didn’t clean our room properly, and it was so dirty (you can refer to the photos). Also, the hotel room looks a bit old. However, the location of this hotel is pretty good, and the room was very spacious with a balcony.

What did we like:
We like the spacious rooms
The location is next to the train station
The luggage and house keeping staff are friendly and helpful
Beautiful view from from the apartment
The bar was fun to hang out and have a beer
What did we not like:
We did not get what we booked and paid for at this accommodation. They combined our rooms and called it an upgrade.
Rooms were not ready at check in time and we were told to pay more if they gave us the room at 1:30 to leave our bags.
The lady at the front had a breakdown and was rude when we asked for the rooms we booked and not their upgrade.
Lastly check in and check out takes a min of 20 minutes so be prepared to wait.

It's tricky to review this hotel as I had both pleasant and very unpleasant experiences with different things and different individuals at the hotel. So I will rate them as a single entity for practicality. When I first arrived they asked to keep my passport to scan it to their system as their system failed to scan it upon my arrival. They said they would return it to me promptly, which they did not. They kept it for two days, and when I eventually went to ask them about it, as I needed it to exchange money, they told me they could not release it until I paid a 200 AED bill for an airport transfer I asked them to schedule for me and asked them to charge to my card. I asked them to give me the passport, so I can exchange the money to give to them, they refused and insisted that I don't need the passport to exchange money. I told I was already told that by the teller at the currency exchange company, they told me that the other location they used did not require a passport. Even though I wasn't checking out that day, and they kept a 500 AED deposit already, they still would not release my passport to go get cash. I had to go to the station carrying a sleeping baby, to go get my wife to come back and pay the 200AED before they could release my passport. And when I checked out, they came and inspected the room, and Mr. Sharma who came to help me insisted on a review before checking me out. Not only was he looking over my shoulder, but he was showing me what to rate and how. He even insisted on mentioning him by name, even though I had just met him. He then inspected the room and checked me out, and after I left the room, the lady at reception then sent me a picture on a phone of the minibar fridge door with the rubber ripped off the door, and claimed that I damaged it and that they were going to have to charge a 300 AED damage fee before releasing the 500 AED deposit. At that point, they knew that my airport taxi was already waiting for me and that there was no time to go back up to my room to take a look. So, I paid the fee and left. If you do decide to stay at this hotel, please insist on them checking everything while you are there, and DO NOT check out when you are rushing to the airport. It's very unfortunate because I met some very pleasant people there.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was pleased with the quality of the amenities and overall comfort. However, I regret to say that I won't be booking here again (although I stay there very frequently, I even lived there for months) due to their new parking policy. They no longer allow self-parking, and instead, require guests to use the valet service. Unfortunately, this results in significant delays, with it taking an average of 20 minutes to retrieve your car. Given that the hotel is frequently busy and many guests drive, this can be quite inconvenient. It's a pity because otherwise, it's a good hotel.
