JI Hotel Hotels in Dali

We embarked on a ten-day self-driving family trip through Yunnan, with Dali marking the official start of our road journey. Naturally, our hotel search prioritized properties with parking. Given the extended duration of our trip, on-site laundry facilities, especially a dryer, were a significant plus. We aimed for a newer hotel (opened within the last two years) for more comprehensive amenities, a spacious room with Erhai Lake views, and a balcony or terrace offering a close connection to the water. Of course, the price needed to be moderate, and we required standard room options that included breakfast. The JI Hotel (Dali Erhai Global Times Branch), which opened just a few months ago, perfectly fit all our criteria. This hotel only opened recently, right next to the Four Points by Sheraton Dali Erhai Lake (which opened in 2024), and is situated in the Haidong District. The main draw of Dali is undoubtedly Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, with most attractions clustered around the lake. Erhai Lake is shaped somewhat like an upright spindle, divided into its eastern (Haidong) and western (Haixi) shores. This hotel is located on the eastern side of the lake's southern tip, offering convenient access to both sides. It's also not far from the train station. The rooms boast smart home controls, including electric sheer and blackout curtains, all operable with a simple voice command. While the decor adheres to JI Hotel's standardized style, the addition of a lake-view terrace truly elevates the experience. Bedside outlets thoughtfully include both Type-C and USB ports, and parking is complimentary for hotel guests. Crucially, priced at just over 500 RMB, it offers fantastic value. Compared to many guesthouses that often charge 1,000-2,000+ RMB for often mismatched decor and service, this hotel's pricing is incredibly fair. Moreover, they offer standard room types with flexible modification policies, unlike guesthouses where bookings often cannot be changed once confirmed. Admittedly, this location is a bit more secluded and less bustling compared to Dali Ancient City and its immediate surroundings, but for those traveling by car, it's a non-issue.

The hotel has good facilities, smart toilet, light switch, electric curtains, spacious rooms and bathrooms, clean and sanitary, rich breakfast, quiet environment... It is 10 minutes away from the high-speed rail station. The front desk service is very thoughtful and gave me fruit.

Cleanliness: The room was very clean, and the bathroom and shower were spotless. Location: The location is excellent, very close to Dali Ancient City. There's also a convenient bus stop nearby, perfect for heading to Caicun Pier and enjoying a walk along Erhai Lake. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and patient. On a rainy day, after I stored my luggage, they thoughtfully offered me hot water when I came to pick it up. Breakfast: Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes, including local specialties like rice noodles and *rubing* (milk fan), both of which are definitely worth trying.

It's my first time staying in this hotel. I feel very comfortable. The staff are very enthusiastic. There is a pleasant greeting as soon as I enter the door, which makes people feel very friendly. They also take the initiative to help with luggage. The service is also very thoughtful during the stay. The room is also very clean. There are many varieties of breakfast. It's delicious. I am very satisfied. I will choose their hotel next time.
