"Our first time at this resort Golden Sands and the Place Paradise, we had our lunch at the Olas Restaurant and we were disappointed in regards with the delay in food, we waited for more than one hour, and we raised our concerns to the new Manager Ms. Roselle but seem like she doesn't know the process of the operation. Hope you can improve this our first and last to this Resort due to horrible experiences."

"Tapanee beach resort It's in a wonderful place! The rooms are spacious, spotless and with a breathtaking view! The Resort is in a quiet place, and you can swim in the marine protected area right next to the rooms and see the blacktip sharks, corals and wonderful fishes! Breakfast is an exceptional buffet with fresh products, homemade cakes, choices of savoury products and freshly squeezed juices! The hotel facilities are wonderful (bar, restaurant, spa, gym and much more) and the owners are very kind. They can give you many tips to make your stay in malapascua exceptional! I wished I would never leave!"

"The hotel was right on the beach and had a dive shop with a nice restaurant. The room was cute with really nice toiletries and a deck area to sit on. Overall, I enjoyed the stay there. What's not mentioned is that there are no roads going to the hotel, the bikes will only take you half way down an alley but then the sand is too deep for them to travel on. You have to walk through sand for the last 200m to the hotel itself."

"The stay was nice. However, my gf left a soft teddy orca in the room. 100% it was left there. We packed in a rush. We tried to contact them and the number on Google doesn't even belong to the hostel, it's some random person who isn't even on malapascua. A friend went by to ask if they'd found it and they said they didn't. There's no chance this is true. One of the staff has taken it. NOT good service, and NOT what you expect from a hotel/hostel when you leave something behind. Normal practice is to contact the guest and arrange to mail it it or something. Unacceptable. Willing to change this review if someone contacts us regarding this. It's of sentimental value to her."

"Ideally located for diving. If you are looking for a cheap but decent place, this is it. The bads: The cleaning was not great, and the sheets had permanent stains. The staff at the reception were not very friendly nor profesional. They don't serve neither lunch nor dinner. Now the positives: The rooms have an option AC (recommended), and fresh towels are given every two days. Ideally situated, close to all restaurants and Diving centers. Maintenance staff were very nice and helped us out often. Tip: to be a good guest, turn off your AC when you are not in the room (they acknowledge and appreciate it)."

"What a beautiful hotel! It's in the second row of the beach, but you get peace and quiet and a beautiful little spa hotel. And breakfast is served right on the beach in the sister hotel. The rooms are very nice and, above all, each room has a huge outdoor area with a hammock and other seating. The staff is super nice and we enjoyed the bedtime treat every evening. Thank you for the lovely time!"

"What an amazing experience. The sense of calm, the closeness to the sea, the service, and the food — everything exceeded expectations. We had a wonderful time on the beach just steps from the ocean. The rooms were simple yet comfortable, and the views were stunning. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, with a warm, family-like atmosphere and more staff than guests. Everyone working there was friendly and genuinely service-minded. Every morning, we were greeted with happy smiles and welcomed by name, which made us feel truly cared for. The diving and the organization around it were world-class. The dives with the thresher sharks were especially magical and very well arranged. Early mornings were required, but it meant being first on site and having the incredible opportunity to watch these beautiful and majestic sharks glide into the cleaning station. We were unlucky and lost our luggage for almost an entire week. The reception staff helped us with all the contact with the airport and did everything they could to support us. My husband had packed his contact lenses and medication in the checked bag, and the staff went above and beyond to help us. They even managed to arrange similar contact lenses with almost the exact prescription he needed. They also organized for a representative to travel all the way to Cebu and back on our behalf — a four-hour journey each way. We are so grateful for everything and will give the very best recommendations whenever possible. Thank you for everything! Veronica with family"
