"We spent Mother’s Day weekend at Kievits Kroon Gauteng Wine Estate and had the most amazing experience. My son and I were treated so well by the staff from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely incredible, both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. The Mother’s Day gourmet picnic was definitely a highlight. From the live band and sushi stations to the entertainment for the little ones, everything was thoughtfully planned and created such a beautiful atmosphere for families. We always love coming here for a staycation because it truly feels like you’ve escaped to the Winelands. The hotel is spotless, the grounds are beautifully maintained, and having a spa onsite is such a bonus. It is also one of the few places where children can play freely while parents feel completely at ease about safety. This place has honestly become our second home. The staff are warm, friendly, and always go out of their way to make every stay comfortable and memorable. If you are visiting Pretoria or simply looking for a peaceful staycation, this is an absolute must-stay. 100% recommended, definitely one of Pretoria’s hidden gem."

"We stayed at this hotel on 6 April 2026 for one night and it was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. Firstly, the air conditioning in the room did not work at all. The room felt like an oven, making it extremely uncomfortable to stay in, especially after a long day of travelling. To make matters worse, the sliding door could not open, so there was no ventilation whatsoever. The television was not working, and there was no fridge in the room, which is something you would reasonably expect from a hotel. When we asked for ice, we were told we would have to pay R30 just for an ice bucket – unbelievable, considering the R1 678 we paid for the one-night stay. Another issue was that there was no hot water because the geysers in our block was off. This meant we could not even shower. Maintenance came to the room and confirmed all the faults, so these were clearly known issues. Reception then offered to move us to another room, but by that time it was too late – my son had already fallen asleep on the bed without being able to shower after a long day. Overall, this was a horrible experience and extremely disappointing. The room was clearly not properly checked or maintained before guests arrived. We will never book with this hotel again and would strongly advise others to reconsider before staying here."

"Some of the day visitors...... making lots of noise. We understand that they are paying customers but this is a place to relax & enjoy the serenity of the quiet open space (nature). Notice the sheets on the bed are not changed on regular interval..... we noticed that when a couple who spent only two nights at the place left no sheets were changed in that room. Not hygienic. The chef meals on a daily basis was excellent. 5star. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Only sad thing was that they didn't serve free coffee after supper. They wanted 28.00 for a cup, yet we were the only patrons at the resort. The place has a good layout with nice open spaces. The place was good overall but certain things mentioned can be addressed so that patrons leave happy & relaxed. "
