"Extremely welcoming , personable, and informative hosts. Made our family feel as though we were visiting family members out of town. Property is very relaxing, beautiful country side, interesting history, and plenty of animals to watch or interact with. We met Fonzie their pet deer, so cute . Both rooms we had were very clean and well furnished. Only item my wife missed was a full length mirror. Breakfast was delicious both days , hosts very accommodating if we needed anything special. Highly recommend staying at this property for those interested in relaxing, fun, historical location, and perfect hosts"

Sophie's Gasthaus
"My husband and I just celebrated our wedding with 80 of our closest friends and family at Sophie’s. We rented the venue for the weekend where we had the rehearsal dinner in the carriage house, and ceremony in the garden outside. The weather was perfect, the hotel immaculate and such a vibe, and the outdoor area was gorgeous with flowers, huge magnolia trees, and a gorgeous pool! If you re looking for a weekend getaway, or the most unique wedding venue or other event space, Sophie’s is the way to go! Erin was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed and more! This venue is first class!"

"Some people said something wrong about this hotel I read reviews previously to book but everyone talks depending and how it goes, wi really like the location and everything the only thing is that at night it was noisy (but is not the hotel) was the traffic outside ambulance, police etc ., but it is good hotel."

"Room was very clean and neat!"
Holiday Inn Express & Suites NEW BRAUNFELS by IHG
"The room was nice, and the bed was new; it would be perfectly fine for two people to sleep in. However, the same problem persisted: the sofa bed was very thin when turned on, causing some back pain at night. While it would be perfectly fine for two people, the person sleeping on the sofa bed might experience some discomfort."
