My partner and I stayed at the Shangri La Shangri La Shangri Ge Yuan Shangri Resort Meisu Hotel for a weekend and spent a peaceful mountain vacation. The hotel is in a good location on the edge of the ancient city, and parking is convenient. The price seems to be a bit high, but the consumption here is not cheap, so it is still acceptable. Overall, the hotel is good, but the only drawback is that the bathroom is a bit small.

We arrived in Shangri-la late at night. The owner of the hotel told us to go to a certain location so they could go pick us up, we were not charged for this service. They were very kind to us, especially to me since I had a hard time adjusting to the altitude and they told us what to do to alleviate my altitude sickness issues. The rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The atmosphere of the place gives you a feeling you’re immersed in the local culture. The view from the top rooms are breathtaking, you can have an overview of the town and the main temple. Just beware that in order to have this view, you need to climb a lot of stairs, and at this altitude, climbing stairs can be a daunting challenge, but totally worthwhile. I highly recommend this place.

The Tibetan-style house is very distinctive. The environment and equipment are very new and clean. There are feeding equipment, which can be turned off when sleeping. It is very close to Napahai and a distance from the ancient city. It is very convenient for us to drive by ourselves. They also gave us souvenirs before leaving. In the middle of the day, we forgot to close the window when we went out, and many mosquitoes came in. The housekeeper helped us change a room, which was very considerate!
