This hotel was outstanding; peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature which provided the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind after the hustle and bustle of Chinese cities. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal, with overcast skies at the start of the rainy season, the location was still beautiful. The autumn leaves were just beginning to change colour, and there were excellent views from the room, many lookouts and vantage points. The elevated walkway through the forest canopy was a particular highlight. The staff also went out of their way to be helpful, organising a visit to the nearby Dujiangyan Giant Panda Centre and the local equestrian centre for a horse ride, all at no extra cost for transport. They even washed my clothes onsite at no additional charge. Apart from needing a proper coffee machine for us Westerners, this was a truly exceptional stay in an exceptional location with exceptional service provided by a very helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place, as depicted in the photos. Service and food were great. Bed was super comfortable, shower was hot and strong, toiletries were of superb quality. We went with our elderly parents and they loved being in nature and having such fresh air everyday. It feels like a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Note that there is no nearby shop as the hotel is halfway up the hill and the hotel restaurant is not open throughout the day. This was not an issue for us as we were able to order food delivery with the guidance of the hotel staff. Also, this is much nearer to 街子古镇 and is quite a distance to the main 青城山 area. We loved 街子古镇 though as it is much less touristy than the main 青城山 area and spent an entire day exploring the town. What could be improved: - During our first day there were issues with wifi and the room heater. Although the staff responded to our requests for help immediately, it took a few hours to fix the wifi, while the heater was only fixed the next day. Service was very pleasant though and I appreciate their sincere updates as I understand some things are beyond control. I do wish they could have checked the heater beforehand. - There was no tour of the grounds when we arrived, nor an introduction to the free activities available as part of our stay, so we had to explore the place ourselves and ask for activities such as: calligraphy, horse riding, free car ride to the Qingchengshan train station. All in all, despite a few hiccups, it was a very comfortable and restful stay. Thank you to the team for taking good care of us!

Where to start! If you are looking for a few nights away from the bustle of Chinese cities and you want to relax and unwind in nature then Suxi Qingshan Forest Homestay is perfect! The hotel is easily accessible from Chengdu. A short 25 minutes train ride from Chengdu to Qingchengshan station and then the hotel staff will arrange to pick you up. As soon as you arrive you will realise what an absolute gem this hotel is! The hotel is nestled amongst the hills with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. This is a luxury hotel with the services and infrastructure to match. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea upon arrival and you also have the possibility to enjoy a hot water jacuzzi, a fitness area, walks around the hotel forest grounds as well as many other experiences proposed by the hotel. The hotel is only 15 mins drive from Dujiangyan Giant Panda Centre and the hotel staff organised transport there and back for us. We would recommend this Panda reserve as it is much quieter than the reserves in Chengdu! We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on both nights of our stay and the food was truly exceptional! We chose the set menu, which took us on a culinary journey through Sichuan. Each plate was refined, delicious and made using fresh ingredients. The breakfast was equally delicious, fresh and healthy. We would like to highlight the kindness and warmth of all the hotel staff. They were always available to answer any questions and organise activities to make our stay magical. The hotel staff were able to communicate with us in both English and French. We stayed at Suxi Homestay looking for a relaxing few days away from cities and we were blown away by the experience! We would have loved to have extended our stay!

An exquisite boutique hotel nestled in the woods where we woke up to the birds chirping. The host and their staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. The welcoming staff made the place more like a home than a hotel. The staff went out of their way to make it a special Christmas for us. The canopy walk was a highlight. The food was exceptional and fresh for a child that is picky. A cozy and beautiful hideaway from the busy urban life. You could be forgiven for thinking you were not in China. Truly a Shangrila.

The room was very satisfying, and the service was attentive. The environment was very relaxing, perfect for a weekend getaway. It was a relaxing experience.

This was the best money I spent in Chengdu! My wife was pleasantly surprised to find such a forest hotel hidden in the Qingcheng Mountains. The morning mist was shrouded in clouds, and walking in the forest was so comfortable. It was an absolute sanctuary. The service was excellent, the room was spacious and stylish, and the environment was amazing. I wanted to stay there the whole time.

In the crisp early autumn weather, soak in the hot springs, stroll, and breathe in the fresh air in the forest. After a long and tiring journey, this place is a convenient 1.5-hour drive from Chengdu, with Jiezi Ancient Town nearby. It's a truly relaxing vacation experience.

This was my second stay, and the experience was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I got off the car, they greeted me and offered to hold an umbrella for me. Their service was a huge improvement! The afternoon tea this time was very varied, especially the plums, which were incredibly sweet. I even asked for a bag to take home before leaving! I tried the à la carte menu for dinner, and the chef was fantastic. The dishes were both Sichuan-style and unique! The portions were incredibly generous! I think the set menus have their own charm, and the à la carte menus have their own exquisiteness! It happened to be raining, and the mountains were shrouded in mist, which was truly atmospheric. I sat outside with a pot of hot tea for the entire afternoon! I missed the Valley Concert this time, but I hope to experience the Echo Valley at the Temple of Heaven next time I go. I want to experience that ethereal feeling! The private bathhouse was very clean and had a great atmosphere, especially the cocktails I ordered. It was truly wonderful to drink while soaking in the hot springs! I came alone this time, and I think it's perfect for a group of friends to play mahjong and cards. The public areas are also great for taking photos! The restroom not only had disposable toilet seats, wet toilet paper, and wet wipes, but the Hermès toiletries were a perfect touch! I also tried my hand at calligraphy, which was truly a calming experience. I spent over an hour writing without feeling the time pass quickly! Environment: Really nice, especially in autumn when the leaves turn yellow, creating a truly romantic atmosphere! Cleanliness: I think it was average, but it's been greatly improved! Service: The personalized service made me feel right at home!

The post-rain wonderland experience is unparalleled 💯 The Qingcheng Mountain Forest B&B I chose on Ctrip exceeded my expectations! It was raining the day of our departure, and I was worried about the mountain roads being difficult to navigate. The B&B contacted us in advance and arranged a private car pick-up. Even more surprising—as soon as the car pulled up, I saw the staff waiting at the door with umbrellas. Such thoughtfulness instantly warmed my heart ❤️ Walking through the bamboo forest path, washed lush and green by the rain, the housekeeper had already prepared warm towels and ginger tea to ward off the cold. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows of our room, the mist-shrouded mountain forest was as beautiful as an ink painting, and the air was filled with the fresh scent of earth and vegetation. The afternoon tea was even more amazing: handmade pastries paired with a seasonal fruit platter. Sitting on the viewing terrace, listening to the raindrops dripping from the eaves, the hustle and bustle of the mountain world was completely detached. The most commendable thing was the mushroom hotpot for dinner! The owner explained that the mushrooms are all picked that morning from the mountains, and the broth is simmered for hours with an old hen. Fresh porcini and bamboo fungus swirl in the golden broth, and even three bowls are enough! The housekeeper also thoughtfully explains the taste and health benefits of each mushroom. From the first greeting under the umbrella upon arrival to the soothing hot milk delivered late at night, every detail felt like home. I've already recommended this place to all my friends, and I'll definitely be back when the mountains are covered in crimson leaves in late autumn! 🍁

After a 1.5-hour drive from Chengdu to the back mountains of Qingcheng, I turned a corner and stumbled upon "Suxi Qingshan"—green tiles and white walls nestled among pines and bamboo trees. It had no sign, yet it felt like an old friend. The scent of grass and trees enveloped me as I stepped through the door. The private bathhouse with mountain views was absolutely amazing! The log bed was soft as a cloud, and the hot springs faced the mountain mist. Soaking and gazing at the stars at night was "ten times more enjoyable than the bathhouse at home," my parents said. The housekeeper was incredibly thoughtful! She got up early to make corn porridge and pickled radish, took us to the back mountains to forage for mushrooms and wild vegetables, and then stuffed us with kiwis and bacon from our own garden before we left. The bacon is still fragrant in my kitchen! 😂 What did I do in those three days? Picking mushrooms, picking tomatoes, and watching the sunset from the terrace. Nothing to do—just lie back and let nature soothe me. Want to escape the city? Come here! Enjoy the pine breeze, mountain mist, hot soup, and the warmth of a family who treats guests like family.

This was the most satisfying B&B I stayed in during my recent trip! The design is truly wonderful! Each room is unique, spacious, and beautiful! The mountain scenery is also stunning! Besides the rooms, there are plenty of places to have tea and camp outside, complete with small animals. The afternoon tea was fantastic! Dinner was also delicious! The service was exceptional, with breakfast delivered to the room and a hot spring bath available! The toiletries were Hermès!
