Hyatt Regency Chongqing Hotel

A special shout-out to Tiffany at the front desk! During check-in, it was peak time, but she was all smiles, patiently answering every guest's questions and processing everything efficiently and professionally. While I was waiting in line, she even acknowledged me with a reassuring smile, which was a really nice touch! When it was my turn to check in, Tiffany proactively asked about my preferences and immediately arranged for the smoking room I needed. So accommodating! Upon entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised – it was spotlessly clean, the bedding was so soft and cozy, and the window offered an expansive view. Next time I'm in Chongqing, I'll definitely be staying here again!

The room was advertised as 30-40 square meters, but the layout was very poor. The bathroom took up a disproportionately large amount of space, leaving very little usable area. The facilities were quite outdated; for instance, the wardrobe door didn't slide properly and even pinched my finger. I booked this hotel specifically for the swimming pool, but the water was incredibly murky. Later, I discovered on Xiaohongshu that the pool water is only changed every three months, making it feel like I was swimming in what locals call 'dumpling soup' – an idiom for extremely dirty, unhygienic water. This was a huge letdown. The actual cleanliness was far worse than depicted in the photos. Breakfast offered both Chinese and Western options, but there were too many pre-prepared dishes, and some items weren't fresh. It didn't live up to the standard of other 5-star hotels. On a positive note, the service was quite good. The staff members were patient and genuinely helpful, which somewhat redeemed the hotel's image in light of my otherwise negative experience.

Though a bit dated, the quality remains consistently good. The breakfast was absolutely perfect. The room was very clean, and the front desk and restaurant staff were incredibly professional, striking a perfect balance between being attentive and respecting personal space. Highly recommended.

Although the hotel has been around for a while, its decor doesn't feel old-fashioned at all. The rooms are spacious, and the facilities are well-maintained. This time, I booked a twin room for my parents and a king room for my child and me, and both accommodations were very comfortable. A special shout-out to Echo and Vaness for proactively arranging non-smoking rooms for us. The hotel is directly connected to a commercial complex, which is incredibly convenient for daily necessities or last-minute purchases. The location is superb: it's very close to Beicheng Tianjie and Xingguang 68. Guanyinqiao is also within easy walking distance, and Beicang Cultural & Creative Park is just a 300-meter stroll away. This makes it an ideal choice for families looking to explore Chongqing's main shopping and entertainment districts.

We arrived in Chongqing at 10:30 PM. Twin rooms were unavailable, so we booked a king-sized room. Upon opening the door, we were pleasantly surprised by how incredibly spacious it was – the bed alone looked like it could easily accommodate 4-5 people! **Facilities:** Very well-maintained, featuring both a pool and a spa. **Cleanliness:** The room was spotless, and the housekeeping staff were very polite, always greeting us warmly. **Location:** The hotel is situated in the most bustling area, with countless dining options and shopping malls right outside – incredibly convenient. **Service:** The bellhops and security staff were excellent – very proactive in opening doors and helping with luggage upon arrival and departure. Overall, considering the summer rate of just over 500 RMB, it offered excellent value for money! Highly satisfied!
