Overall a really nice hotel for the price.
Reception staff were really helpful and friendly.
Guest laundry available and easy to use although a little difficult to find!
Elevators took a while to arrive sometimes as the hotel reception is on the 21st floor and guest rooms are also high.
Our room had a nice view over Chengdu at night.
We booked with late checkout (3pm) and although it said no advanced booking is required the staff didn’t seem to expect it and when we arrived back at our room the key didn’t work.
Breakfast was ok. Tasty but small bowl of noodles. No soya milk. Many of the dishes contained meat which we do not eat.

This was the cleanest hotel that I stayed in and the breakfast was delicious, with a daily special. The hotel is at the top portion of the building, which is an advantage because then you have good views.

A great hotel and a great location with great staff… Almost nobody speaks English but it's worth it because of the translation software available today

We were touring central China from Zhangjiajie to Yichang and from Chongqing to Chengdu. Zi Yu is one of the best hotels we stayed at. The room was super clean and comfortable. The restaurant, located on the same floor as most rooms, offered delicious Sichuan cuisine at a great price. On top of all this, the staff members both at the front desk and in the restaurant were very kind and helpful. I’ll definitely stay at Zi Yu next time I come to Chengdu.
