Mark, the owner, speaks fluent English and is very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, walking distance to the subway, and the area is full of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and convenience shops.
If you are around don't miss the chance to visit TAG (To Another Galaxy), a true underground techno club with world-class DJs, which is also at walking distance.

The location is not straightforward, but contacting the hostel with wechat we could find it well. The room is very comfortable and cosy and it was very helpful that they let us leave the luggage there for a night even though we were going one night in the surroundings of Chengdu. Highly recommended!

The guy working in the hostel is friendly and helpful. The hostel is quite difficult to find, I needed to ask some locals in order to find it. I would probably try to find somewhere else to stay if you are traveling in Chengdu

My advice? Do not stay here. There are two bathrooms and they permanently smell like awful stinky urine. I had to go buy bleach and clean myself to be able to use it, three hours later the smell was the same. Beds are fooor hard, the bed sheets and towels are super clean. The owner is the kindest guy. But this is like a frat house. It’s mainly Chinese men full time living here, they all smoke in the kitchen. There’s a cat that meows like crazy at 5 am.
There’s a washing machine that you can use. It’s an old flat building, extremely hard to find. Also they moved so the adress now is same building block but building one floor 5. Exit elevator and it’s the door in your right.
Again, owner is the kindest and most helpful person. But if you can afford something better just do.

Incredible stay everything was perfect would highly recommend! Perfect location in the centre near to lots of shops and restaurants. room was spacious, clean and had all the facilities you could need. The best part was the kindness of the staff, who helped me a lot with anything I needed. I really enjoyed my stay - amazing place and a warm welcome to Chengdu, I felt very at home. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I visit Chengdu!

You might be a little worried if you don't know how to check in until the last minute, and if you don't speak English or Chinese.
When I arrived, the owner was very kind and helped me with a lot of things.
The kitchen window was wide open, so it was a little cold inside the building,
and the bunk beds had no curtains, so there was no private space at all,
but aside from that, the environment was very good.
There were people always occupying the living room and sofa, which are shared spaces, and I'm not sure if they were tourists or related people, but you might find it a little uncomfortable.
There were no particular cleaning rules, which are common in dormitories, and the check-out time was arbitrary, which was nice, so I felt it was a laid-back place that was typical of Chengdu.
