"Since my confirmation code didn't work, I contacted the advertised hotline. The young man on the phone was extremely annoyed by my call and made me feel like it was my fault for receiving the wrong code! After several minutes of arguing, I was finally able to get a new confirmation code. I was extremely disappointed to have such an annoyed and sometimes aggressive employee as my "helper" on the phone! Please don't forget that you are a service provider and that you very kindly accepted my payment for my stay!"

"In the grim city of Chemnitz, the hotel doesn't help keep morale high. From the moment you check in in the cramped lobby, not to mention the freight elevator, you can feel a genuine DDR vibe. The surprisingly large room is offset by a Lilliputian bathroom. No air conditioning (fan!), no espresso maker, but a huge TV for watching (!?) local programs. The restaurant is a little cramped, but the spaetzle were tasty, and there's even a wine list. The city center isn't far, but it's best reached on foot. An interesting experience for anyone nostalgic for real socialism."
