"The staff are friendly and accommodating and the hotel was clean. However it falls short of luxury for the price tag and certainly not five star. The location is at the very top of the medina which requires a steep ascent & descent to reach the main attractions. It's also in a noisy neighborhood and the hotel lacks good sound insulation both externally and internally. The breakfast buffet was not refilled through service and largely consisted of cold platters of processed meats and cakes. They charged extra for anything but instant coffee. We chose not to take dinner in the hotel as the menu consisted of simple Moroccan, French & Italian staples at inflated prices. Room size was OK but bathroom tiny. View faced back of the hotel onto a graveyard. The coffee machine in the bedroom was defective. Toiletries provided were a simple all in one soap/shampoo. There's no bar and the rooftop terrace was out of service. At over 200USD it's just not memorable or good value."

"If there are two real strengths to this hotel, they are its location on the edge of the medina, accessible by a 5-minute walk, making it easy to find and quiet, and the extremely warm welcome. It's clear that guests are genuinely treated with genuine interest. Congratulations to young Mouad, who is incredibly kind, helpful, and always available to ensure your stay is perfect. As for the one drawback, the electrical installations are not quite up to European standards, and there are some loose connections on the light fixtures. In short, this could be a little dangerous and is definitely an area for improvement."

"This riad feels more like a guesthouse, and the people are lovely. I’d recommend having breakfast on the square, about 5 minutes away - it felt a bit more atmospheric there. The rooms give you a very authentic experience: singing roosters, the smell of sheep from a neighbour’s rooftop, and all that. Not a bad experience, just very local — go for it if you're ok with different way of life. If you’re arriving by car (or in general), message the hosts in advance so they can meet you and you don’t have to deal with the “helpers” outside. The town itself is nice, but there’s really not much to do beyond 1 day. The best part is definitely the people."

"The riad is nicely located near the center and a parking lot. The room is nice and clean. From the roof top, you can get a very nice view of the city and the mountain. The best thing is the service from the staffs especially Ibranhim. He reserved the parking spot for us which is very important otherwise, you have to far away. He also arrange people to bring our suitcase to the Riad. I was traveling Solo and he showed me how to get to the Spanish Mosque. I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and my friendship with Ibranhim. Thank you for introducing me to the beautiful people in Morocco."

"The small house in the heart of Chefchaouen, on one of the most photographed climbs, is very clean and traditionally furnished, and it is also to say that there is little room to hang up the clothes and the bathroom. The very good breakfast is now prepared by the owner, a lady who makes you feel like a guest at her home, always very available but never invading, and who lives on the ground floor with her family. We've been very good. Come here if you're looking for authenticity."
