"What a wonderful surprise to find this luxury lodge tucked into one of the most beautiful places on earth, surrounded by snowy peaks in every direction. After hard days of hiking to reach Tyangboche, it’s heavenly to relax and rejuvenate in this lovely retreat. My spacious suite has a generous seating area downstairs with huge windows displaying views of the mountains while I sip hot tea. The bedroom upstairs boasts a comfortable queen bed with electric blanket and outlets for charging, while the private bathroom has a gloriously hot shower to wash away the day’s trekking. The restaurant has beautiful vaulted ceilings, lovely music and ambiance, and excellent food served by the friendliest staff. I’ve enjoyed multi-course meals from the extensive menu offerings, but what makes it truly memorable is the attentive service from Samundra, who is both extremely personable and professional. As I continue my trek today, I will miss having his smiling face to greet me at every meal, but I leave with wonderful memories of my stay at The Himalayan Tyangboche."
