"Have stayed here a few times and now under new ownership with Gregg and Hollie . Great hospitality and couldn’t help us enough. They have arranged breakfast at the local golf club with 10% off your bills for food and drinks. We went down there and a great place for food or drinks they only do breakfast and lunch. Will definitely be returning to the Golden Fleece in the future."

From start to finish our experience of the stay was superb: The host was so accommodating, the property is just beautiful, inside and out, and there is private parking. The interior is very tasteful and well thought out, everything and everywhere is so very clean! Beautiful room, spacious, modern, amazing attention to detail putting the room together The dining room is lovely and again amazing attention to detail. Breakfast did not disappoint and continued the quality theme, we liked the app to think through our breakfast options. Price is great for such a high quality room and property. We hope to arrange a further get together in the area in the coming months and we will, without question, book here again I didn’t mention the bed - deluxe hotel level of comfortable, the owners have clearly invested so much time and effort into this business which is reflected in every area of the property"

"We stopped at The Haymaker for an overnight stop on route to Cornwall. The pub is quirky and has a traditional skittle alley. The staff were lovely, the food outstanding and the drink prices extremely reasonable. The rooms were clean, perhaps some minor work was needed in the bathrooms, but outstanding value for money and we would definitely stay again. It also had a lovely beer garden, which was a real sun trap. Throughly recommended."

"Outstanding breakfast with gourmet options. Lovely hosts. Building and room had lots of old fashioned character and charm. Room was small but cosy and had lovely amenities such as very nice quality linens, filtered water, a fan which made the air circulation perfect, and a nicely equipped but compact bathroom. Lovely sit to sit outside and enjoy the garden. Beds were quite narrow and the traffic on the road was heavy and noisy during certain parts of the day. I had thought I had booked a room facing the garden and was disappointed to find it was at the front of the house."
