Good location, it's in the ancient town of Chaozhou. Good for budget travelers. The bad side is the room is not soundproof. There are insects flying around as it has only a single floor.

I checked in after mid-autumn festival, on the last day of Golden week. The tourist crowds were sizzling off. The place is nice, and I was able to do laundry for free, and the lady and caretaker were quite helpful. The room is the right size for me. Clean. Everything works. The location is right at the old town, very convenient. But if you come here by Didi, you need to take a walk in these winding narrow alleys, which is quite charming. I only saw 1 or 2 other customers during the 3 nights of my stay. I hv mixed feelings on the location because I felt this place is made for tourists, not for everyday locals. The dessert shops which claimed to sell authentic desserts, actually did not understand what authentic ones look like, to my disturbance. I'm somewhat uncomfortable to be offered drink tea and felr obligated to buy. On my 2nd and 3rd nights, I ventured outside of the old town, to get more authentic foods. During the day, it was too hot, this location becomes a real advantage cos I was able to get back in the afternoon, avoiding heat and extrene humidity, and watch movies in the room comfortably. I prefer harder mattress but otherwise this place is fine.

Location very convenience, nearby alot food & near tourist attraction. Very comfortable & can wash cloth for foc. Owner very friendly, treat me nice tea & chit chat also.

Really cute cozy place nestled in the old town. Very historic building that's been modernised - clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly and helpful - great place to stay in the area

Absolutely great stay! Right in the heart of the old town, in a beautifully kept traditional style building. The rooms are very clean and modern, boasting amenities like Japanese washlets and a projector TV in room. The reception provided me with a list of local food recommendations and specific restaurants to try them at, and send me Chaozhou's shockingly good free tourist miniprogram on WeChat as well, so top service also. Staff may not speak English, I'm not sure as I can speak Chinese. But an absolute steal at this price, highly recommended.
