"First off, the check-in process at the front desk was quite efficient. However, it's peak tourist season right now, so there were many families with kids, making it quite lively. Upon entering the room, the view from the window was excellent, thanks to the great natural light (we booked a room with a view). The bedding, bathroom, and carpet, etc., were clean and tidy (the tea set in the photos was our own). The hotel has a basement parking lot, a restaurant on the 2nd floor, and a gym, swimming pool, and spa on the 4th floor. The recreational facilities and dining options are also quite good. Oh, and we also received a welcome gift upon check-in – some local Shantou snacks (pictured in Fig. 2, Fig. 3). I didn't get photos of everything else this time, but I'll make sure to take more next time I stay. The only minor drawback is that there are very few EV charging stations in the ground floor parking lot, and they operate on a first-come, first-served basis. It would be great if the hotel could install more, given the growing number of electric vehicles these days. Finally, the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. It offers great value for money, boasts an excellent location, and is highly suitable for both business and leisure travelers."

"In the spring of the Yi Si year, I traveled to Chaozhou and stayed in Cizhen Tower. The building is located deep in the bustling city, with quiet windows and spacious rooms. The walls are decorated with porcelain paintings by masters. The glaze is translucent, the hair and beard of the figures are clearly visible, and the mountains, rivers, and clouds are hidden between the blue and white outlines. It can truly be said that the masterpiece is a collection of masterpieces hidden in the blue and white paintings. I went to Guangji Bridge in the morning and saw the 24 floating bridges connected together and the ancient banyan trees hanging down and brushing against the boats. The Han River rushes, carrying the morning light eastward, and I recall the grand scene of the top scholar crossing the bridge that year. When we arrived at Kaiyuan Temple, the thousand-year-old monastery was hidden in the market, with copper bells ringing from the eaves and incense sticks wafting in the air. The colorful sculptures on the beams are either playing stringed instruments or dancing in colorful costumes. Although they are not magnificent, the sandalwood fragrance is refreshing and makes people forget the hustle and bustle of the world. Take a stroll along the Archway Street at noon, the red lacquered combs on the archways look like scales, the Chaozhou embroidery ladies’ fingertips are flying, and the woodcarving masters wield their knives as fast as the wind. Suddenly I smelled the aroma of the sweet soup of ”Duck Mother Twist”. I looked closer and saw that the red bean paste was wrapped in glutinous rice skin, and it was as shiny as pearls. I sipped the licorice fruit, which had a harmonious blend of sweet and sour, leaving a lingering fragrance in my mouth. Only then did I realize how ingenious the Chaozhou people were, and how they could turn ordinary things into the most delicious food in the world. When I return to Cizhen Tower at dusk, I no longer see the vastness of the river and sky, but only hear the light sound of strings from the neighboring courtyard. Amid the curling tea smoke, you can appreciate the various poses in the porcelain paintings: there is Tao Yuanming holding a pot to sell wine, and there is Li Qingzhao holding a fan with flowers in her hair, all of which are given life by the craftsmen's glaze. Although there is no interest in climbing up the tower to enjoy the view, the quietness of this elegant room is enough to cleanse the worldly burdens in one's heart. Sitting by the window with a candle in hand in the middle of the night, I suddenly realized what Master Fan meant by ”worrying about the world before worrying about yourself”. However, for ordinary people like us, if we can temporarily entrust our body and mind to this place with the long-lasting charm of porcelain, it will be enough to comfort our lives. "

"We have been travelling in China for 10 weeks and this is the cleanest and smartest hotel we have stayed in and it was a very reasonable price. It felt like an expensive hotel and was very close to the attractions of the old city."

"Staff are excellent. Professional services, patient and helpful. We left some money in the room, Ms. Chan called me twice to return it to us. We also changed our room type and Xiao Yu was very accommodating. The hotel provides a good spot on the roof top for watching the light show in the evening. If you are taking a taxi or Uber to the hotel, tell the driver to drop you outside of the Guang Ji Men where you can see the hotel signage (careful searching required) after you enter the gate."

"The location is great in the middle of walking street. All facility is perfect. We book 6 rooms which is 4 bed room house next to 2 bed room house. The only disappointed thing is the bed room is a bit too small compare to the price but can stay happily."

We were given a complimentary upgrade to a spacious room, which was fully equipped with smart facilities, incredibly comfortable, and spotless. The ambiance was lovely, and the service was impeccable. To find such an amazing five-star hotel for just over 300 was truly incredible value! The hotel even boasts a privately curated museum, though unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit. On top of that, they provided complimentary breakfast for our three children, which we truly appreciated. We'll definitely be staying here again if we return to the area."

It is also convenient to go shopping in the ancient city after 10 pm when there are fewer tourists. The room environment is warmly decorated, clean and comfortable. It is located in a small alley next to Guangji Gate. It is quiet in the bustle. It is good to have a good rest at night without being noisy. The customer service Xiao Xu was enthusiastic and considerate. He asked about travel methods in advance and gave route suggestions. It was a very satisfying stay experience."

"This hotel is really old. The socket panel in the bathroom has fallen off. The hair dryer has poor contact and needs to be blown in the room. The toilet has been leaking and making noises. The toilet seat cover makes a harsh sound when it opens and closes. Fortunately, it doesn't affect sleep when the door is closed... The breakfast has few choices and tastes bad... The price has almost tripled during the May Day holiday. I didn't want to go there, so I just stayed for three nights. It's better not to go there during holidays. The experience is really not good. The location is quite convenient. It's a few kilometers to walk to West Lake Park, about 20 yuan to take a taxi to the ancient city, 53 yuan to the high-speed rail station, or go to the bus station next to it."
