Perfect for a Family Weekend

South Lake Hotel provides exceptional different experiences in Changchun. Great services and security, while we enjoyed most the huge outdoor area with 2 lakes and a lot of well-maintained trails in shaded greens. And of course, the traditional North-East food, especially the hand-made Tofu, is accompanied by sufficient Western choices if you prefer variety.

Stunning location in park, quiet, relaxing. Huge compound, particularly pretty with New Year red lanterns adorning trees. Staff kind and welcoming. Nice and clean, good bedding. 

The location is great. It is inside a big park. However, the room there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom.

The hotel is in good location in forrest area. The service is quite good and staff friendly.

I remember this place being guarded by armed soldiers back in the days when I grew up in Changchun. It hosted many top officials from China and many other countries. It was a surprise to see it open to the public now. We had a great experience staying there. This compound is unique in that it sits on a large piece of land with lakes, walking paths and bridges. This hotel is old but beautifully maintained over the years. It is quiet at night, a nice change from the busy city. The breakfast buffet doesn't have many Western options, but very good regardless. Friendly staff.

This is an excellent property and we will stay here again. The service is great and the location very good. The breakfast is also very good, although they could have a few more western options. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are professional and elegant. Th only other suggestion is to upgrade their exercise room. All in all, highly recommended.

The rooms of the State Guesthouse in 1960 are still clean and tidy. It is a veritable garden-style hotel with very good privacy and a great living experience! The environment is sophisticated and high-end, parking is convenient, and the service is first-class. The filming location of "The World" is beautiful, with flowers in full bloom and classic check-in spots that make people linger. I will consider staying here next time I come to Changchun.

[Brief review] Except for the garden view, the others are all about looking at the windows and the roof (business), and because of the structure of the house, the non-garden view is a bit far from the elevator. Anyway, the price is about the same, and those who don't like facing the wall can directly choose the garden view. Although the room and bathroom are not big, they have everything they should have. [Food] The breakfast is rich and there are many choices. The original 45-minute breakfast time was eaten for 1 hour. The ginseng series is a feature, and the ginseng red date tea and ginseng astragalus tea next to the front desk are also highlights. [Environment] There was a reason why I gave up another one and chose this one. There are deer, but this is a rare opportunity! You can't definitely see it when you come! Because they may not be released (I didn't even find the deer house, and I was too lazy to ask one by one)... Of course, if you have enough time, you can look for it while walking around. [Service] It varies a lot from person to person. The lobby guy on the day of check-in was very enthusiastic. Seeing that we wanted to drink the water near the front desk, he reminded us to heat it up before drinking it for a better taste. He proudly said that this was specially prepared by the restaurant chef. He was very friendly and kind to the elders. [Others] The souvenirs at the entrance of the hotel are actually quite good. There are all kinds of prices. I would like to buy them. It’s up to you to be extravagant and frugal. They are quite unique (such as ginseng handmade soap). I suggest that friends who have stayed here can consider it. I thought it must be available online, but I didn’t find it when I came back!

Beautiful environment, opposite is Nanhu Park, with a big slide! Nanhu Hotel is very large inside, you can enjoy the snow scenery, and there are deer 🦌🦌🦌. The TV series "The World" was filmed. I haven't written a review for a long time. It's really good. Although the facilities and layout of the room are a bit old, the overall evaluation is very online. It is worthy of being a state guesthouse. The ingredients used for breakfast are very good. They are not pre-made dishes in express hotels. The buns are steamed and the vegetables are fried. The taste is very good. There are also deer and squirrels in the courtyard. It is also a good choice to stroll in the courtyard in your spare time. Nanhu Park is across the road, there are mountains near here, and the Hongqi Street business district is not far away.

The service facilities of the State Guesthouse are trustworthy. In the past two years, I have also started to pay attention to hotels that receive government personnel. The cost-effectiveness is very high, mainly for hygiene. Such hotels are very reassuring for parent-child travel. Nanhu Park is across the road. I played in Nanhu Park for two days, which is convenient. The breakfast is not as exaggerated as the comments say, it is more average, and the chicken soup feels very light. I don’t know if it is a local habit in Changchun.

The hotel is like a big forest, quiet and beautiful. It takes only a few minutes to walk to Nanhu Park, and the children had a lot of fun. The hotel service is in place and well-trained. When we left the hotel, the hygienist saw our children pushing the luggage and took the initiative to help send them to the gate. It was so loving. Thank you Aunt Liu Li!

The hotel is large and elegant, with ice sculptures in the hotel. The facilities are a bit old, but clean and tidy, the service is really good, and my family has mobility difficulties, so they provided us with a lot of help and convenience.
