Cumberland Motor Inn ★★★
"Easy booking. Close to the CBD and excellent service from Reception. Highly recommended"
Bellbird Hotel ★★★
"No hair dryer but have iron in the location. Place is quite dirty, good for a single night stay and move on."
Wine Country Motor Inn ★★★★
"Don't eat their breakfast buffet. 17.50+GST pp has not much to choose from. Even don't have any egg or ham."
Potters Apartments ★★★
"Owner is very nice. We arrive around 5pm and have burge just besides the restaurant. When we ask her where we can find the supermarket nearby, she ask us what we need to buy. Then she told us no need to buy and give us noodles, vegatables and fruit"
Cessnock Motel ★★★
"Trip.com had the description wrong and we ended up with a small queen room. Receptionist could have paid more attention to what I was saying and offered to upgrade us for free or a charge instead of acknowledging there was an issue. Also, vanity drain hole either dirty or stained but otherwise the room was clean."
Peden's Hotel ★★★
"The room is average. The downstairs is fun until the middle of the night. It is cheap. It is the cheapest in the area. There are many places to eat around. It is very close to the winery, about 10 minutes away."
Ingenia Holidays Hunter Valley ★★★
"Located near the heart of the city, has the basics + kitchen and washing machine + dryer. You can use the park facilities too! Can smell abit funky due to previous guests cooking in the space"
Cedars Mount View (Adults Only) ★★★
"We had very pleased time to stay in tree house Love it will be back soon 🥰☀️🙌🏼"
Khartoum Hotel ★★
"Stayed with a couple of friends on an overnight motorbike trip from Sydney. Nice pub with happy local crowd. Great rooms and homely feel. Food was excellent too. Would especially recommend to a group wanting a place in Hunter Valley close to vineyards"

"Very good for travellers"
Hunter Valley Travellers Rest Motel
"In desperate need of a refresh and refurb, left as soon as the kids woke the next morning as felt ick. Carpet was worn, had ants crawling over the bed, fridge had excessive surface rust and a/c was spitting ice out when turned on, with no fan or windows able to be opened (during heatwave). The oddest part were the two bedside lamps with light globes that were purely decorative as there were no power points they could reach so had to use bright overhead lights to feed baby overnight. Signs in foyer suggest 5% discount if you book directly and not a third party website however was charged surcharge for using eftpos upon arriving. Price was on par with other local hotels but quality did not seem to be. Will not be returning."
Cessnock Hotel, Hunter Valley
"Originally booked the Hotel to attend a winery concert but it was cancelled, so we decided to still do the 2 nights and explore the area. It wasn't overly expensive, but the twins/double were pretty small, so space was at a premium and it was shared facilities. Sleep quality was good with little noise from the pub. But the common kitchen & the bathrooms we used weren't attended during our stay which was disappointing as used towels stayed on the floor plus the kitchen garbage bin was overflowing? The place was not very busy, so no real reason that it was left as it was. All in all, it was a good stay, and you get what you pay for and it's a great location to stay for sure if visiting the Hunter Valley!"
Cottages on Mount View
"My husband and I took my Mom there for a midweek break and had a lovely time. The cottages really quite well spaced apart giving you ample privacy and they are well appointed. When we arrived the cottage was lovely and clean, with a basket with breakfast provisions on the table. We stayed in the cottage with the outdoor spa, and there’s a wood burner with plenty of wood provided. The hosts are really friendly and accommodating and the location is great for touring around. My only criticism is that the cottage gets quite cold overnight on winter nights, so consider bringing slippers"
The Studio Retreat perfect for a quiet romantic break. Pet friendly, hot tub.
