A lot of silence which was very comfortable when it was time to rest, the owner of the place responded quickly and was attentive to what we needed. In the mornings they tidied and cleaned our room and bathroom and there was also the option of doing laundry, which had a low cost. 100% recommended, I would return to Palafito Waiwen a thousand times more."

"What kind of rating do expect after messing up our reservation, making us have to settle for much smaller rooms at a much higher fee than what was first agreed upon? The attention given to my family and I at this place left a bitter taste and marked a difficult beginning for our Chiloé trip. The administration refused to take any responsibility in the matter and left us feeling belittled with discounts that are beat by ones found in common hotel reservation websites. No hospitality whatsoever."

"I love this place, not only because the bay holds a profusion of bird life, but because the place is so peaceful. The people who work here are remarkably nice and friendly. The food is delicious--easily some of the best dinners I had in the 2 weeks I spent in Chile--and generously portioned. The rooms are wonderful--huge windows looking out onto a lawn and out over the bay. Sunrises are gorgeous. Sunsets even moreso. I've now stayed here twice for 5 nights each time and if work brings me back to Chiloe I will stay here again. February is the perfect time, but I would like to com in December when it would be even more peaceful."
