"Impromptu stop over at the Snooty Fox, we booked last minute on our way back from the North Lakes. We booked through their own website as there’s currently an offer on. We chose Room 4 for the walk in shower. On arrival the pub was bustling but we were able to check in with ease. The rooms are accessed from the bar and up a flight of stairs, this is a Grade 1 listed building so quirky and original. Our room overlooked the back, not an issue for us. The general manager who checked us in explained how to use the heating system controlled inside the room and on a thermostat outside. The room was adequate for our needs, you can hear faint noise from the pub, expected, but come midnight when we went to bed, absolutely nothing. There is tea and coffee and Krupp machine with capsules in the room. The bed was comfy and we slept really well. One of the best showers the pressure was great. Toiletries, fresh white fluffy towels and a heated towel rail Breakfast was fabulous, there’s a choice of cereals, freshly brewed tea and coffee and fresh juice (topped up) then full English met with the approval of my husband, there’s breakfast baps and gluten free options. The pub is under new management with an experienced landlady so an all new team. Please give them a try if you’ve ever visited previously, big and exciting changes are coming, food is back on, we will definitely return."

"Stayed this week for two nights. Fabulous bar and accommodation with friendly staff. Room was large & spotless. Very dog friendly. Food amazing and ate here both nights. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. No car park but parking available nearby. Added bonus of a quiz on a Monday. Kirkby Lonsdale has lots of bars and independent shops. Would definitely recommend and we will certainly return 😊"
