"We often go in for drinks and really like the bar but on this occasion we decided to eat with the family. Ordered a chicken burger got a beef burger. After a 40 minute wait (the bar wasn't busy) our meals arrived but were very dried up the buns stale, the cheese & bacon hard. The tomato & basil soup was like tomato puree. The staff were apologetic and knocked £9 off the bill & gave the kids free desserts but the bill was still £59 for a very bad meal."

"What can I say??? I was apprehensive over the price and would it live up to it? I can honestly say it was worth every penny & more. 5 star for decor, loved the boon of how the rooms were inspired. 5 star bed, pillows, comfort etc 5 star for space 5 star for detail and everything in the room 5 star for cleanliness I would not change anything & nothing needs to change in our room, The Oasis. I love the personal text messages for greeting, leaving & being on hand if we need anything! This was our 1st night after our wedding day & it is 1 we will never forget! Im lucky to sleep for 5 hours and in that Bed we slept for 11 hours 🙈 Thank you so much & we are already looking to revisit for our 1st anniversary!"

I didn’t use the tv & nearby chair but they were available. The breakfast was good & I had a very tasty home-made steak pie & veg one evening. Plenty of pubs and curry restaurants nearby."

"Arrived 3pm checked in to find my room dirty Pooh in the toilet dirty towels on the floor bed slept in carpet dirty, staff behind the bar shocked cleaned the room and gave a complimentary bottle of wine, a nice gesture, was informed breakfast from 8 till 10 went down at 8 no one about again at 8.20 and again at 8.45 where I met the lovely Becky who explained the managers were not answering her calls and there are no staff chef waitress etc to open the dining area, very kindky Becky made me a breakfast and a mug of tea which I had to eat outside by the bins on what is best described as an entry, Becky was fantastic her attitude manners and personality helped ease my frustration, however dirty room no dinning facility no condiments etc and eating in an entry just a bad experience ! A young Scot’s girl was also trying her best to help and she deserves some gratitude. Needless to say myself and other guests all agreed they would nt be returning again"

"I travel to the Lake District multiple times a year and I always make an effort to pop into the snooty fox . I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Kirkby Lonsdale to visit the snooty fox . The staff are kind caring funny and are always willing to go above and beyond to meet any of my needs . And most importantly they always have lovely energy that makes you feel welcome. I’d like to say Lois Hannah and Henry made this trip even more special with there amazing energy and good banter . I would recommend anyone thinking of visiting to come for a drink or to stay over for there holidays . A amazing place with amazing people . The manager Rae was more than amazing in meeting every need our family required ."
