"There is a strict check in from 5pm. Do not turn up early as the doors are locked. This us apparently because there are very few members of staff in the hotel. When going in, there was a couple and child I assumed were guests. This was (we assume from later experience) the daughter in law who checked us in. She only did so after she told us that there is no car parking at the hotel. You have to oark on the street. This was our first surprise. Because my husband had to move the car, the lady proceeded to check in the couple who had arrived after us and told us both the "rules" of the hotel. We had a dog with us so were really happy that there was a garden where our dog was positively discouraged to use as they care very much about their garden. We understand and were ready with poop bags. The reality was -we found out the next morning when we were told - the nearest bin for used poo bags was 150 yards away from the hotel... That is a first fir us! Our room was garden level, very clean and comfortable enough. 1 armchair and a chair, no full length mirror or any mirror of any kind in the bedroom or drink making facilities, nowhere to hang things in the bathroom other than the towel rail, a tiny shelf below the window which had a roller blind which made me wonder how private the bathroom was considering the garden with tables and seat were literally right there outside the window... when reading in bed with the window open before dinner, a group was seating just outside and I could have taken part in their conversation. We had a pre dinner drink in the garden, once more being told it would take a while - when in fact it was not a long wait at all. The recommendation of a local apéritif was very good. We were having a good evening. Dinner was the same menu for all and it was delicious and a waitress we had not seen before was very helpful and friendly. Our dog was left in our room as per their request for the evening meal. It all went a bit pear shape at breakfast time when we came down with our dog. We were told he was not allowed in the area when this was in the bar area where we had checked in the night before. We could see a buffet had been set up and we asked if we could have breakfast away from the restaurant area. An older lady, we assume the owner, then proceeded to be very unkind and difficult. My husband was trying to speak to her in broken French to explain that other hotels we had been to did not allow dogs in eating areas.(I am French so could have spoken to her as well). She was getting quite annoyed and then a giant of a man appeared at the door and our dog was spooked and barked. Turns out it was the son who told by his mother what was going on. He proceeded to shut us down and said that he was tired, had not had much sleep and that he did not want to argue when his 3 year old son was in his arm. Stated the law says xyz about dog and that we could leave if we wanted. We really should have as it was very upsetting. When we went to check"

"Clean and comfortable modern hotel. Air conditioning was very welcome as we arrived on a very hot day. Not much atmosphere in the hotel but nice view from our balcony and good breakfast and dinner in the brasserie below."

"We used this hotel/motel as our stopover to south of France. We can not express how grateful we were to the owner who was so kind to stir up something for us to eat as we were travelling for long hours before we reached the hotel at 8pm. We were tired, hungry. We enjoyed delicious salad, cheeses and charcuterie sitting in their peaceful garden. It was a holiday, so everything else around us food wise was shut. She also offered us nice desert to celebrate my birthday. It just felt like home. Clean room and shower/toilet. Parking space. Hair dryer in the room. Soap dispenser in shower. It is one of the hotels with the machine outside to book your room and get the keycard."
