The hotel is good, well located and the staff very friendly. The facilities are a bit old. There is nothing more than the pool, nothing SPA and a single elevator for the entire hotel.

Regardless of the excellent location, this is no 4**** hotel and hasn’t been this past decade. We have been deceived into booking a room by beautiful but old fotos from better times and found a decrepit fixer upper instead. Spa area is completely run down and non functional. Total scam! Stay away. I wonder how Golden Tulip keeps this one under their roof - it’s a shame.

I left a long google review with all my suggestions and recommendations. This place is the definition of wasted potential and terrible ownership decisions. I am surprised with how my experience was that this place makes enough money to keep operating. Room was comfortable enough everything else ******

Very poor hotel, it should be 2 stars only not 4 very poor internet (hardly any signal) and not much choice of food for diner one garlic bread for starter, one dessert and the main course they give you choice between 2 dishes also very far from the airport and over in hour to the town canter

I can't tell you how bad this hotel is. We had to leave after just a few hours. Everything broken, pool out of order, dirty everywhere, tired. My goodness. Please do not stay here under any circumstances!

This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in during five decades as a traveller. Tired, neglected, incompetent staff, very poor Wi-Fi and unhygienic swimming pool were just some of our concerns, along with being overcharged because of the hotel’s admin failings.

Staff really friendly and helpful. Hotel very tired - pieces of furniture that smelled old and unused. Neither the steam room or the sauna were operational one of the main reasons that we had booked this hotel so frustrating to say the least. Breakfast mediocre If the above does not worry you then enjoy the location only 20 metre (approx) from the ocean excellent promenade that goes for miles and miles

Location is away from Porto centre but that’s no issue as the bus stop is right outside and is cheap for a trip into Porto (2Euro each way). Hotel is clean, breaks decent and has semi decent swimming pool - ok it’s not all brand new but for the money we paid it exceeded all expectations. Would return!!

I was there in December 24th with my family and we really enjoyed it. We were very well received by Mr. Ricardo, an exceptional friendliness and welcome, as well as the other receptionists. Mr. Ricardo was quite perceptive because there was a birthday boy among us, and Mr. Ricardo remembered and approached us to congratulate him. All the staff from reception to breakfast, and in the restaurant were friendly and attentive to us. The food in the hotel restaurant is very good, very well prepared, good quality and sufficient quantity. I regret that on the day we asked for a crab, there were no utensils to break the crab on the table. They told us they didn't have any, but they took the crab to the kitchen and broke it better... I want to leave a very good note, for the honesty of the hotel staff, we lost our wedding ring, without knowing where it was, we looked for it in several places in the hotel, including the pool, and announced the loss at reception. The room cleaners were also attentive and helped with the search for the ring. When we checked out we were told that they were going to do maintenance on the pool and that they would look into it, and so they called us to say that the ring had appeared.

Hotel with spa, haha, it's a hostel, and it's bad. It doesn't have a spa. It's an indoor pool full of leaks, rust everywhere. The buffet is ridiculous, nothing varied, and small. The food is dry and smells bad, there's a smell of mold in the elevator, humidity in the dining room, etc. My experience was terrible. I recommend not going because it's disappointing.

We had a company Christmas dinner in December 2024, and we tried to get in touch with the person who gave us the quote and organized the event in question, and as we were unable to speak to Mr. Diogo, we are posting here the description of the terrible event we had. Good morning Mr Diogo. I am sending you an email today because I am calmer, mentioning my biggest disappointment about the dinner held at your company on 12/10/24. In 19 years, it was the dinner I regretted the most. And aware that my guests were also disappointed... Very sad... The room gave the feeling of a poorly maintained warehouse, very cold and with horrible sound - as long as we asked to turn it off... It was not properly prepared for the act. Menu only using cod and meat. Mature red wines chilled when they should be served at room temperature / hot... I still had to guide the table as there were 26 dishes placed... with little skill... The staff were very weak or not used to such service. The amount invoiced was a lot for what it was worth… Anyway. So you may want to not have any customers. Best regards (ETG, Lda)
