"The hotel is outdated! Apart from the room and the catering, nothing is good! A swimming pool that is out of order, unsanitary, the roof leaking everywhere, to the point of overflowing basins!!! The sauna and spa are closed! Massages...there are none! Hotel well located for the seaside, but far from everything! Taking a taxi to reach the center of Porto will cost you between 12 and 13 euros one way! The bus stop is conveniently located but it drops you off in the business district! So take the metro or tram afterwards. The restoration, nothing to complain about, the only downside is that you have to go from the hotel to about 100 meters with the rain, the wind, not great! Decent breakfast, friendly staff, but the hotel looks more like a dormitory than a hotel. Not to be avoided, but no recommendation Definitely not worth a 4 star"

"Cramped dusty unshaded pitches- think refugee resettlement camp- with washroom facilities which have had no investment for decades: cracked tiles, grubby grouting and rickety duck boards in the showers. The cleaning staff do their best to keep it clean but the underlying shabbiness can't be washed away, however hard they scrub. Orbitur are charging premium prices and doubtless laughing all the way to the bank. What they have is a great location and a lot of passing trade and, boy, do they exploit it to the max. You really wouldn't want to spend 10 minutes sitting around the site but if all you want is a location near the sea with a pleasant 30 minute bike ride (mostly on cycle paths) into the centre of Porto then it'll do."
