Enjoyed our one night stay. The room is cozy and matched our expectations with this price. The view outside the window is not bad as well. We also paid 25 euro per person more to enjoy the spa facilities for one hour which we find worth the money if you are looking for a relaxing session after a day of hiking. The spa is not the biggest or grandest but it does its job with hamman, sauna, jacuzzi, etc. It's quiet during our visit with no one else so basically we had a private experience. Remember to bring your flipflops and swim cap which are mandatory.

This is a wonderful hotel with a warm and inviting decor. The front desk service is friendly and helpful. The photo at the entrance shows how the King of Spain, when he was a prince, often came here to ski and stay with his family. It was very kind, warm, and a real honor. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, and the Canfranc train station is a short 5-minute walk away.

Arrived on Sunday lunchtime. Turns out that the hotel offers NO catering AT ALL after 3.30pm on Sunday -both bar and restaurant closed. We had to walk quite a way into town to find something to eat and drink. This is not what I expect when staying at a four star hotel! The hotel is good quality but also does not have its own parking as inferred- it’s limited on street parking nearby. Disappointing

We stopped here for one night en route to Valencia. Very good experience: good, comfortable room, excellent dinner (two great value fixed price menus with water and generous wine included). Friendly, efficient service in the bar and restaurant. Rooms at a fair rate, but the price of food and drinks made this an inexpensive stay. Un petit bémol: I understand that Spanish hotels don't believe the summer begins until July, but, with the temperature at 27, sitting on the terrace with a view of a green swimming pool was not pleasant.

Stayed here for an end of season ski trip. It is on the outskirts of town so is nice and quiet and there is ample free parking nearby. The spa was very welcome after a day of ski de fond in nearby Somport. The food at the bar was excellent and they even had vegan options for my friend.

Really beautiful location - mountains surrounding it and such a pretty little town. The first room we were offered was beautiful and large, but it was quite dark with only one window. We were quickly offered a choice of other rooms, which were slightly smaller, but with much more light flooding in. The set menu dinner was really great value and we enjoyed all three courses with a nice wine. Maybe slightly pricey on the B&B cost but we were there when there was a big event in the town so it was quite busy. Breakfast had a wide selection and the swimming pool was beautifully clear but icy cold!! The sun terrace was really warm though, so great to be refreshed then warm up in the sun. Really friendly and helpful team - thank you to the staff for such a lovely stay.

We went to eat with my family, a 35€ menu that was the worst of my life, (I was celebrating my birthday at Encina) the service was terrible, not even a good morning from the waiter, he didn't know what he was putting on the table, since he had put vichyssoise and he had to go back to the kitchen to ask because he didn't know what to answer. We ordered a grill that only had chicken, rabbit and chorizo, to my surprise when I cut the meat they were totally raw, I asked to return the plate, it's impossible to eat that! I changed it for a medium rare entrecote that arrived at the table raw and when you touch the meat it's still cold, it's a total disgrace, nobody deigned to apologize, only to walk around the kitchen window to see who was returning the plate for the second time, it's a total disgrace, and that's where the kings ate?? haha ​​poor kings. A theft!! Two nights in which I went with my partner and the two children, they gave us a tiny room for two large beds, the air conditioning was restricted by the reception, which the receptionist told us to open the windows… the food leaves a lot to be desired, the child I ended up vomiting and the prices because it is the Canfranc Trail cannot be inflated that much, if you tell me that they have facilities in good condition but it is quite the opposite and the attention had everything...in conclusion price quality not adequate. The double room we were given was excessively small and the mattresses were deformed in the middle, which made it impossible for us to rest. We booked for dinner for 4 people in the hotel restaurant, the quality of the food was below what you can find in restaurants in the village and was much more expensive. They also tried to charge us 10 Euros to share a 79 Euro steak and claimed that everyone who sits down has to eat at least one dish or else there is an extra charge of 10 Euros. A MESS. We had to push back everything we ordered, the burger with the frozen fries, the croquettes still frozen inside, the vegetable salad without seasoning, the nachos were bad and an hour and a half later, I doubt I would go back despite it being a nice place.
