"The hotel is very centrally located in a renovated building. However, the investment seems to have been more about a facelift and modernization than actual improvements. Our room (a superior one) was so small that if you opened the window, you practically left the rest of the hotel open to the view. There wasn't even a hook in the bathroom, and there was a chair in the room. We had no hot water, and when we asked, they told us there were problems with the water heaters and they couldn't do anything. The next morning, however, there was water throughout the hotel until the woman who works there arrived. It looks very nice in the photos, but that's about it."

"not at all a 4 star hotel!! it's a shame that is a nice location front view but it needs a lot of updates. Both room we rented bathrooms (showers) dirty, hot water was fine but barely stream of water. We had to almost touch the wall to shower. TOWELS were beige not white!! I would not recomment it!!"

"This converted mansion is a slice of Campeche history. Very close to the cathedral & principal square, in the heart of old Campeche. You are told it is self catering. Very clear instructions are provided for your check in. There is usually an attendant available during the day, and any questions posed on WhatsApp are answered almost immediately. You have access to an outdoor kitchen, well appointed. There is a comfortable outdoor seating area. Bikes are available for your use. Washer & drier are also available for you. We were in room # V (5). It is authentic, rustic & beautifully decorated with artisan pottery & antiques. We enjoyed using Casa Lanz as a base to explore Campeche’s history & enjoy some wonderful restaurants."

"Narrativ surprised us with a breakfast to prepare in the refrigerator, fruit and fresh water. Located on the main street 59 of the historic center, everything is very close without having to go by car, including the boardwalk and good restaurants, so we had an excellent stay and attention, 2 very comfortable double beds, good weather, wifi and you can enjoy the stay at night on the balcony, we accompanied it with a moderate beer because we have to continue getting to know more, many thanks to our host Sebastien who was attentive at all times."

"Aside from being a great location and helpful staff, the room is absolutely overpriced for what it is. It was a small barren room, no side lamp, no place to set your luggage or clothes aside from the floor, no bench, hangers, nothing, just a bed, a small table and a tv. Felt like a hospital room. No windows, the bathroom smells of chemicals and there was a huge cockroach which the staff kindly got rid of for me. WiFi is poor. They have a nice terrace, but there is no shade so it is almost impossible to stay there if not when the sun is down. I was thankfully there only for one night, could not have stayed longer. They have a detachment which is Hotel Edzna, around the corner, is cheaper and rooms are big in a charming old building. Make sure you book that instead."

"The room was tiny, the bed was tiny, and there were no windows (actually, there were windows, but they opened right onto the corridor outside, where people could walk around and bump into you). If you didn't open the window, the room was incredibly hot and stuffy. The so-called sofa bed was a couch that opened up to less than 170cm, making it impossible to sleep. The only positive thing about the entire hotel was the bathroom, which was large enough and had good hot water."
