"Large hotel ,spacious rooms ,you can ask for kettle ,they will bring one up for you .Food in dining room at evening buffet very good ……but I did have problems five out of the seven mornings I stayed there .As a celiac I had to order each evening bread for breakfast ,this became a problem for me as ,breakfast does not start until 8 am ,and as we were on a walking holiday ,I needed to be on the coach at 9 o’clock .Whilst every member of my group tucked into breakfast ,I always was kept waiting whilst my bread rolls were baked ,sometimes up to 20 mins .Whilst I did appreciate the lovely baked rolls ,why could they not be ready at 8 am for me ,as I had ordered the night before .This was quite stressful for me and on one occasion I did burst into tears with frustration !There needs to be a better system in place ,perhaps a quiet corner ,with a toaster and sliced gluten free bread as I have encountered in other hotels in Europe .Apart from this problem ,I had a great stay"

"Well, I’m a seasoned traveller, like my holidays and generally try to be as honest as possible when doing reviews. Hotel ok although a bit drab outside and inside. Fantastic location. Very quiet with nice walking all round. Very central to Benidorm, Altea and Moriara. I originally just booked bed and breakfast but then changed to breakfast and evening meal. Wish I hadn’t. Food is ok but evening meal is not served until 19.30 way too late for me. Any way they were fine and I changed to breakfast and lunch. Oh ! breakfast does not start until 0800 so hours are a bit out of kilter with UK meal times. The hotel is very Spanish and to be honest very hectic. There are Spanish tours coming in and out at all times. The food is authentically Spanish so if you don’t like Spanish food don’t come here. They don’t really cater for English or other nationalities there push is clearly for the Spanish tour groups. So they are always trying to rush you at meal times get you in get you out as fast as possible. I found that pretty rude so stood my ground at every meal and ensured they did not clear my table as soon as I stood up, suggest you do the same. I’m on holiday!!! Not sure how the deals work but the Spanish seem to get water and wine included in their deals. Be aware they leave a lot of wine in bottles and that goes straight back behind the bar in the restaurant and then it’s being sold on to unsuspecting customers who just buy a glass. I’m pretty sure that illegal under European law. (Managers be aware) it was also pretty poor wine. So buy your glass of wine before you go into the restaurant from the main bar. Overall not a great stay, weather was fine, hotel was passable, just! Wouldn’t stay again. Would rather pay a bit more for a hotel that looks after guests rather than just shunting them through. Food ok. Rooms ok Staff ok No tea or coffee facility in rooms. So bring your own kettle. Mercadona and Consum supermarkets right opposite hotel so easy to source any supplies."
