Santre Dolomythic Home ★★★★★
"One of the Life Hotels. Located halfway up the canyon, it overlooks the city at the foot of the mountain (not isolated, suitable for self-driving). The view is very wide, the hotel facilities are complete, the room area is very large in the same level, especially the swimming pool has excellent water quality. The children who traveled with us were charged half the room rate, which is probably the practice of hotels in the German-speaking area. The front desk responded gently and politely, impeccable."
Hotel Grüner Baum ★★★★
"Extremely satisfied! The rooms were spacious, and the hotel itself was large and beautiful! The breakfast was especially good, with freshly squeezed ginger, carrot, and apple juice!! The location was also very convenient; we loved the small town it was in, and renting a motorbike was very easy."
Krone Eat Drink Stay ★★★★
"The location is good and the room was clean. while the TV was sometimes turned on suddenly during the middle night."
Adler Historic Guesthouse ★★★★
"Located in the center of town. The inn is beautiful and the town is amazing as well. We had a renovated room - gorgeous with a beautiful view. Furthermore, the staff are incredibly nice and helpful. We had an issue and they stepped in to assist us as strangers who don’t speak the language. The true meaning of hospitality. I would highly recommend the Adler as a wonderful place to stay."
Residence Hotel Gasser ★★★★
"The property wasn't easy to find, as they put us in the annex. The room was small but clean, the bed was very comfortable, the TV was poorly positioned, and the Wi-Fi was good. The bathroom was very small and awkward to use, as was the bathtub instead of a more user-friendly shower. The parking in front of the property was excellent. The breakfast was truly excellent: complete, varied, plentiful, and of excellent quality!"
Hotel Elephant ★★★★
"An unforgettable, must-do stay in Bressanone. We spent two (winter) nights at Hotel Bressanone, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The hotel is picturesque, beautifully preserved, and thoughtfully restored, with a real sense of pride in both its history and hospitality. Travelling from Australia, we felt genuinely welcomed and couldn’t fault a thing. A special shout-out to Roberta, who made breakfast extra bright and cheery each morning — she’s an absolute asset to the hotel and made our stay even more memorable!"
Aki Family Resort Plose ★★★★
"A phenomenal hotel. From A to Z the AKI hotel meets highest hospitality standards, close to perfection: booking, welcoming and attentive staff, jaw-dropping design, spacious and equipped room , central facilities, top culinary experience, and most importantly - great activities for kids indoor and outdoor. Can’t praise enough this addition to the excellent Adler chain. Well done Sanoner family and the AKI team. Memories for a lifetime!"
Dominik Alpine City Wellness Hotel Brixen - Adults Only ★★★★
"Everything was fine, the service was very friendly, the breakfasts fully met our expectations, the ski boot dryers were excellent, the room was spacious, and in the evenings, you could use the hall with sofas. The only thing to consider is the very slow elevator, and even if you wanted to go to -1, it always stopped at level 0, requiring you to go back to level -1. A very pleasant stay, and a very good location – the bus to Plose stops right next to the hotel, and the city center is only a few minutes' walk away."
Hotel Gasserhof ★★★★
"Me and my partner loved this hotel. It is family run, and has been renovated but you can still see parts of the original hotel, very easy location to the Plose ski field. Our room was lovely and spacious and the pool/spa area was lovely. We got an incredible massage too. The highlight for us though was the food, we paid for half board and we have never been so impressed, every meal was great and multiple courses, breakfast was a great buffet too. There were lots of nice personal touches too like whenever we came for breakfast in the morning they had a brochure for that day about the weather, activities to do in the area etc! Would 100% recommend this place- also great value for money!"

Hotel Traube
"In one word....excellent!!!!!! ☺️ We thank you for the availability and kindness that characterized not only the staff of the Traube hotel but the entire town of Bressanone. Thank you so much ❤️ for cheering up our short stay!"
Hotel Jarolim
"nice location and warming service"
Hotel Fernblick
"A lovely hotel in a beautiful location. There are many scenic hiking trails around the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable with a verandah. There is also a spa at the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and were there to help me when I had to check out very early in the morning for my next destination. I booked including breakfast and dinner, advisable as there are no restaurants close by and the food, especially dinner, was excellent and very good value for money. It is not in the centre of Bressanone but there is a bus service that goes there and back a few times a day."
Tourist Hotel
"Clean and welcoming hotel. The breakfast is plentiful and caters to every palate. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Enzo and Ines are exceptional people. The reception staff are professionally competent and always in a good mood. A positive experience."
Hotel Millanderhof
"The hotel is very clean, with wooden furnishings in the rooms. My bathroom was spacious and equipped with everything you need, and the room also had a balcony with a table and chairs. It was a very hot day, but Mr. Markus, the owner, was very kind in immediately providing me with a fan. The breakfast room, a little dated but spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable, also has a small outdoor area where you can enjoy breakfast surrounded by greenery. There's an excellent selection of sweet and savory items, breads, cakes, and locally made jams, made with fresh ingredients, including the much-appreciated fresh fruit salad. The hotel is well-served by a bus that connects to the city center, with a stop just a few meters away, and the reservation includes the Brixen Card, which gives you free access to public transportation. I had a problem with the receipt (I was in Bressanone for work), but all I had to do was call and Mr. Markus was very kind and resolved the issue immediately."
Castell Matscher
" The Castell Matscher is a self-catering annexe to the Krone Hotel in Brixen. The apartment is well appointed, but owing to the very poor location with motorway (A22 to Brenner pass) directly behind the building, it is not quiet or romantic, as advertised! There is constant noise. Good triple glazing does allow one some peace indoors, but using the balcony is impossible, owing to the traffic noise. The apartment is at the top of a steep incline, which is also problematic for those not coming by car as the road is narrow and vehicles travel fast. It is unlit, so walking in the dark is another hazard. Bedroom is spartan, but there is plenty of cupboard space. One hard chair to sit on. Bed has memory foam mattress which is comfortable. However, we paid 250 euros per night for staying here, so I think the standard of the bedroom was poor value for this price. The kitchen was very poorly provisioned, with a fridge and small freezer locker but no ice tray. The freezer compartment was also iced-up. Cutlery and crockery provision was inadequate. I had to wash up after every meal. Not enough of anything! At least supply a bread knife, knife sharpener, a pair of kitchen scissors and several tea-towels. There was a dishwasher but no dishwasher tablets! Dining/living area was again very spartan. Hard chairs and a giant bed affair, but no comfortable easy chairs. Bathroom was good - spacious with excellent shower, good lighting and plenty of towels. The only area that matched the price level... remember we paid 250 euros per night to stay here. There was an additional charge of 50 euros for cleaning and "sanitisation" - surely a rip-off from Covid times, and quite unjustifiable now. Finally, when we asked to see a member of management, the Receptionist told us no-one was available and had no idea when anybody would be available to address our issues. This reflects very poorly on a well-established 4* hotel in a very popular tourist destination. Walkability Big fat zero unless you are fit and strong. The apartments are not a stone's throw. You need to be able to walk uphill with luggage to get here. The road is narrow, relatively busy and unlit. Noteworthy details Brixen/Bressanone is lovely and we shall come here again. The Brixen card is a wonderful bonus and we used it every day, whether to visit the Acquarama, catch a local bus (No 123) to get to Plose mountain area, or indeed use the ski lifts there to climb higher. Local train journeys, as far as Trento are also possible with the card, saving you lots of money. We loved the town and will re-visit next autumn, but will definitely not be staying at Castell Matscher, nor will we recommend it to any of our friends."
