Krone Eat Drink Stay ★★★★
"The location is good and the room was clean. while the TV was sometimes turned on suddenly during the middle night."
Aki Family Resort Plose ★★★★
"Just wow I don’t know if I can put it into words but I’ll try…. We booked for a week in Aki family resort and we had never been to an Alder hotel before, I had checked the reviews on trip adviser and there wasn’t many…. They are a new hotel only open a few months which I was a little bit nervous about but oh my god it exceeded expectations…. Who ever is in charge of this hotel needs a massive pat on the back…. I don’t know where to start… The staff Every single staff member in this resort is exceptional from the small things like remembering names and your favourite drinks to what the kids want for dinner, from the cleaning staff to reception all are just outstanding… big mention for Noah in the bar, heather and all the girls in the kids club who made a massive effort with my girls (6 and 3) mateo our waiter in the restaurant…. Valeria on front of house was also amazing and so helpful. Food So much choice for kids, and for us great variety. Nothing was a problem, if they didn’t have something the kids wanted they just went and got it for us. The resort itself Breathtaking 360 degree views again so cleverly thought out in building the hotel it was immaculately clean at all times The pool was fabulous , lovely and warm outside and so clean we spent hours in here and on the water slides The spa I had 3 massages in the week and my 6 year old had a massage with me which was so special it’s like no other spa I have been too, just hidden away in the woods overlooking tall trees and the mountains, again breathtaking, Serena my therapist (sorry if the spelling is wrong ) was excellent The rooms were so well thought out from baby monitors to fully black out blinds to little sinks for the kids and they each had their own bedroom with in our bedroom, our view was insane over looking the snow topped mountains and the beautiful pool The hotel is full of things to do and so many staff on hand to help with anything you needed. Every turn you went to their was a new kids area to play from slides to board games to its own art room where they made bird houses and cups and Easter decorations. The highlight has to be how relaxing it is sitting around in one of the many areas outside in the warm sun or inside and the kids just running around on they play areas that are all in view of the bars and chill out areas for us adults… it’s so cleverly thought out.. I could honestly write pages about this place we have never been any where like it it’s calming relaxing peaceful unique and fun all rolled into one. We were all so sad to be leaving and I can’t not wait to return in the very near future. Pure 5 star luxury for adults and pure fun for children. Well done to all at aki family resort you should be so proud."
Adler Historic Guesthouse ★★★★
"This hotel offers excellent service, breakfast, spa zones, wet and dry sauna (huge). It is worth every penny. There is a tiny but impeccable pool at the roof top from where u can see the duomo and clock tower, that is a delight, and all the people working there is so nice, warm and professional that it deserves and extra star just for this merit alone. A real pleasure. Choose the rooms facing the river with those angled windows from where you have almost the impression of being over the water. Love it."
Residence Hotel Gasser ★★★★
"The environment is elegant and the service is good."
Haller Suites & Restaurant ★★★★
"Fantastic place. Amazing view, and so good place to stay. Good beds, very friendly people who works there. The breakfast was very good. I hope we can come back here. The bathrom you could look out and see the view from the shower. I would recimand this place so much."
Hotel Elephant ★★★★
"An unforgettable, must-do stay in Bressanone. We spent two (winter) nights at Hotel Bressanone, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The hotel is picturesque, beautifully preserved, and thoughtfully restored, with a real sense of pride in both its history and hospitality. Travelling from Australia, we felt genuinely welcomed and couldn’t fault a thing. A special shout-out to Roberta, who made breakfast extra bright and cheery each morning — she’s an absolute asset to the hotel and made our stay even more memorable!"
Santre Dolomythic Home ★★★★★
"One of the Life Hotels. Located halfway up the canyon, it overlooks the city at the foot of the mountain (not isolated, suitable for self-driving). The view is very wide, the hotel facilities are complete, the room area is very large in the same level, especially the swimming pool has excellent water quality. The children who traveled with us were charged half the room rate, which is probably the practice of hotels in the German-speaking area. The front desk responded gently and politely, impeccable."
Dominik Alpine City Wellness Hotel Brixen - Adults Only ★★★★
"Everything was fine, the service was very friendly, the breakfasts fully met our expectations, the ski boot dryers were excellent, the room was spacious, and in the evenings, you could use the hall with sofas. The only thing to consider is the very slow elevator, and even if you wanted to go to -1, it always stopped at level 0, requiring you to go back to level -1. A very pleasant stay, and a very good location – the bus to Plose stops right next to the hotel, and the city center is only a few minutes' walk away."
Arthotel Lasserhaus ★★★★
"We had always wanted to explore Brixen and its surroundings. The beautifully renovated, historic Lasserhaus seemed like the ideal base for our explorations in the center of Brixen and South Tyrol. The accommodation and breakfast were excellent, and the entire team was very attentive and friendly. Our stay was further enhanced by the free Brixen-South Tyrol GuestCard, ensuring a wonderful holiday."

Hotel Traube
"All we needed during our holiday was provided. Friendly and helpful staff shared their recommendations, guided when we needed, food was fresh and tasty, rooms were warm and cleaned regularly, location was superb. Thank you to the whole team and hope to see you soon."
Hotel Jarolim
"Well-located hotel, close to the city center which has several tourist attractions. City close to ski resorts, especially Plose. Reasonable breakfast with few options. Clean apartment and bedding. Heaters in the rooms working well. Helpful staff. Parking for vehicles with good facilities."
Hotel Fernblick
"Great structure, located in a very panoramic location. I enjoyed half-pension service, excellent internal restaurant, dinner and super top breakfast! Go, recommend without doubt. Bruno (Bologna)"
Residence Isarcus
"Everything you could possibly need is here. It's clean, hygienic, spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the tap water is safe to drink. There's plenty of parking too. I'll definitely be back! They also offer free transportation like buses, cable cars, and museum access. What surprised me most was that just across a river, there's an ancient city with magnificent and beautiful architecture. Highly recommend!"
Castell Matscher
" The Castell Matscher is a self-catering annexe to the Krone Hotel in Brixen. The apartment is well appointed, but owing to the very poor location with motorway (A22 to Brenner pass) directly behind the building, it is not quiet or romantic, as advertised! There is constant noise. Good triple glazing does allow one some peace indoors, but using the balcony is impossible, owing to the traffic noise. The apartment is at the top of a steep incline, which is also problematic for those not coming by car as the road is narrow and vehicles travel fast. It is unlit, so walking in the dark is another hazard. Bedroom is spartan, but there is plenty of cupboard space. One hard chair to sit on. Bed has memory foam mattress which is comfortable. However, we paid 250 euros per night for staying here, so I think the standard of the bedroom was poor value for this price. The kitchen was very poorly provisioned, with a fridge and small freezer locker but no ice tray. The freezer compartment was also iced-up. Cutlery and crockery provision was inadequate. I had to wash up after every meal. Not enough of anything! At least supply a bread knife, knife sharpener, a pair of kitchen scissors and several tea-towels. There was a dishwasher but no dishwasher tablets! Dining/living area was again very spartan. Hard chairs and a giant bed affair, but no comfortable easy chairs. Bathroom was good - spacious with excellent shower, good lighting and plenty of towels. The only area that matched the price level... remember we paid 250 euros per night to stay here. There was an additional charge of 50 euros for cleaning and "sanitisation" - surely a rip-off from Covid times, and quite unjustifiable now. Finally, when we asked to see a member of management, the Receptionist told us no-one was available and had no idea when anybody would be available to address our issues. This reflects very poorly on a well-established 4* hotel in a very popular tourist destination. Walkability Big fat zero unless you are fit and strong. The apartments are not a stone's throw. You need to be able to walk uphill with luggage to get here. The road is narrow, relatively busy and unlit. Noteworthy details Brixen/Bressanone is lovely and we shall come here again. The Brixen card is a wonderful bonus and we used it every day, whether to visit the Acquarama, catch a local bus (No 123) to get to Plose mountain area, or indeed use the ski lifts there to climb higher. Local train journeys, as far as Trento are also possible with the card, saving you lots of money. We loved the town and will re-visit next autumn, but will definitely not be staying at Castell Matscher, nor will we recommend it to any of our friends."
Hotel Millanderhof
"The reason for my stay here might have been less fun (car crash) but the stay itself was really great. The man who towed my car recommended this place and called the owner, who picked me up at the depot where my car was left. The friendliness of the owners and the staff was amazing, the room was really clean with a nice bed and bedding. They offer a breakfast bar with some really nice items. The placement of the hotel is quite perfect, on the edge of the newer part of town and close to the historic part of Bressanone. The surrounding area is beautiful for hiking and cycling. I don’t know what I would have done without the cares of the hotel owners and staff, they made a horrible situation very bearable. Would recommend!"
