Fenghuang Inns

This city is beautiful on the water, but beware of mosquitoes! I personally would stay no more than one night. You pay for the great location - right on the river and by all the hustle and bustle. The party does not stop at 10pm - I swear it was loud outside until 2am and you definitely hear it. The room we chose (with a large patio) was extremely small and cramped. We couldn't enjoy our patio during the summer because there were so many mosquitoes at the door. We left a mosquito-repellant incense at the patio door and that helped a little, but we didn't dare having tea outside like we originally wanted. The hotel also didn't feel secure. Our room was by the back door, which stayed open for most hours of the day. It was very convenient to get to our room, but the open door felt like a safety hazard. They said that they would close it at midnight, but that is too late for my comfort. Service was okay at best. They tried contacting us before we arrived but we don't have a Chinese phone number. Responses through WeChat were a bit slow during some hours, and sometimes the front desk was empty. Perhaps we were just unlucky. The morning we left, the manager lady seemed the most competent and warm, but everyone else was a bit lackluster. The room is old, and the bathroom has rusting metal. Toiletries were at least covered the essentials. No welcome snacks, but at least there were two bottles of water. Is it bad for us to expect more at the price we're paying? Among all the high end hotels we stayed at during our trip at this price point, this was the least impressive by far. The hotel pictures felt misleading on terms of quality and cleanliness.

Hotel location is very convenient, it's opposite the entrance of fenghuang ancient city. I went during winter, the weather is too cold till the warmer in the room doesn't works on the first night, the hotel is so-so, but the service is amazing. The hotel staff helped me to move the bed right under the warmer in the middle of the night and because they doesn't have a lift, they actually helped me to carry my heavy luggage 3 levels up and down. Glad the hotel hired good workers.

Due to the summer vacation, the rooms were tight, so I didn't get a room with a river view, which was a little regretful. Fortunately, the hotel is in a good location, right by the Tuojiang River, and it takes about five minutes to get to Hongqiao. The hotel provides free parking spaces and can help with parking. The front desk lady is very nice, and the hotel facilities are complete. The hotel can also buy tickets for attractions on behalf of you, and there are discounts. Sisters who are thinking of going to Phoenix can go for it!

Main drawback is that taxis cannot get within several blocks, with stone walkways and several stairs (one steep and long) along the access route, along with crossing a long bridge. Very very difficult to carry one’s own luggage in that situation. More serious is that the CTrip info and description paragraph for this hotel does not inform the reader of this physical challenge!

This shop should be opened by a young couple, and the service is really amazing. Because the shop is on the other side of the bridge, I traveled with my parents, and one of the two suitcases was carried across the bridge by the young lady. His family also opened another travel photography shop. We stayed here for two days, and he gave all three of us ethnic minority costumes. Although it was only one hour, there was no strict time limit. In addition, he sent us to Zhushan Miao Village. Each person only needed to pay another 50. This price is really cheap, but my mother spent more than 2,000 to buy cinnabar and silver bracelets in the Miao village. On the day I left, I suddenly remembered that I didn’t buy any souvenirs, so I took a bag of ginger candy in the store. When I paid, the young lady didn’t let me pay, and gave it to me. Thank you~

I loved this hotel so much!!!!! It's in an amazing location, right in the middle of the Ancient Town. Everything is in a short walking distance, and at night you can see performances happening on the river. The balcony is such an amazing space, I would sit there even though the weather was cold as hell. The staff didn't speak English, but they were still incredibly nice! One thing to note is that since it's in such a central location, it can get loud. It didn't bother me, usually things went quiet before I went to bed, but you might want to bring some earplugs.

Staying at Shuidiao Getou is convenient for transportation and travel. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Tuojiang River on the balcony and just feel that the years are peaceful! Value for money: Beautiful! Facilities: The indoor facilities are complete, the air conditioning and heating effect are good, the hot water for bathing is hot enough, and the water outlet is large. Hygiene: The room is clean and fresh, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the bed is bright. Environment: Quiet, peaceful and comfortable. The balcony faces the river and has a good view. The scenery is very good! Service: The clerk was waiting to pick us up on the roadside and help us carry our luggage. He was very friendly and enthusiastic, and made people feel warm and natural.

Facilities: All kinds of facilities and equipment are complete, very satisfied. Hygiene: Very clean, very satisfied. Environment: Clean, quiet, tidy, comfortable, and relaxed. Service: The boss's service is very good, he speaks softly and smiles throughout the whole process. He is very patient to explain any convenient questions about Phoenix travel, surroundings, catering, etc. In a word, the boss is very good, I am very satisfied, and the boss's recommendations are not deceptive. Must be full marks.

The owner is friendly and very helpful, picked us up at the tourist centre and also help with the luggages. The place is very convenient, next to Fenghuang bridge. We can see some might performances from our balcony. There also have a roof top that can see a better view. Thank you, we had a good time in Fenghuang.
