"A simple four-star hotel. Although it has central air conditioning, it is still a bit noisy. The walls are not soundproof enough. The cleaning staff only speaks Spanish and not English. Parking is at the parking lot next door for $23 a day. It is better than a motel in that it is a little quieter. The coffee provided is good. Also, the water seems to be purified and better than the average water in California."

"Rooms are spacious and clean. However heating is loud. Great view of San Francisco and Golden Gate. Staff are attentive.
The hotel generally could need some facelift. Furthermore, the breakfast room was chilly every day so that I started wearing as many layers as possible. Coffee was disappointing, but breakfast omeletts were great. So was the tuna tartar by night."

"We rent a car for our 8 days family travel to Berkeley. The holiday inn provides free parking, and this is the most important customer service of our decision to select this hotel.
The front-desk staff is helpful. In the public parking lot of fisherman's wharf, it costs 10 dollars for one-hour parking.
The breakfast is free and a good complimentary service for all customers.
The laundry machine is located at the first floor and very convenient for family travel customers.
The only thing is that I had got to find a good time to use this machine or spend hours in waiting.
In total, we enjoyed a good stay at this hotel."

"The location is a bit far from downtown Berkeley, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable.However, I was surprised that the car noise was loud on the road right in front of me.
Breakfast was served in a lunch box, and if you choose the food you want, you can bring it to the room on time and eat it comfortably.
But I checked out for more than 10 days, and I didn't immediately cancel my deposit."

(1) Best Location - The nearest to the UC Berkeley, (2) Staff there is super nice and friendly. It made my stay so comfortable.
In a meanwhile, you need to bear in mind that (1) Facility is old, (2) you need to bear additional cost, such as Overnight Self Parking 37.00, and (2) Property Amenity Fee 25.00, (3) Property Amenity Fee City Occupancy Tax 3.00, that are not cheap.
Overall, I'm satisfied with my choice!"

One bedroom/ one bath apartment in an historic 1924 home situated in the beautiful Berkeley hills overlooking San Francisco Bay. This flat includes a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops, microwave, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. The bedroom is large, with a queen size bed and beautiful views. The bathroom, which includes a shower/ no tub, is accessible through the bedroom as well as a separate hall from the living room. The living room has a queen-size sofa bed and a flat screen TV. Cable and wifi are included. The apartment has its own washer/dryer.
The apartment is accessed down a flight of steps through a locked gate. An intercom allows the guest to open the gate for guests with the push of a button.
On-street parking is plentiful. Some guests chose to purchase daily parking passes but this is entirely optional.
