Beijing Tiananmen Square BianYi Fang Hotel (Qianmen Street) Reviews

This is a beautiful hotel with lots of character. It’s very different to those generic chain hotels (which are good too) in that it has lovely Chinese architecture and design features. Very prettily decorated, we loved the clean comfortable beds. The rooms were spacious and well designed. The location was fab because of the proximity to Tiananmen Square and to Qianmen area which has lots of food options. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. They gave us a beautiful fridge magnet when we checked out. Thoroughly recommend this hotel :)

The reception staff were very helpful and courteous. We were surprised to learn of a discount when dining in the downstairs restaurant, we dined there 2 nights. We were appreciative of the departing gifts on checkout 😁

This is the second time we stay in Bian Yi Fang Hotel. It's not only the location is convenient walking distance to Subway. The colourful vibrant food street at the famous Alley in Beijing. The room is nice and clean the main reason for us to return to this hotel is the front desk staffs is so helpful and friendly. We feel like we are coming home. 賓至如歸. Highly recommend.

Good location. Qianmen and Dashilar are just right at the back. There is a short cut beside the hotel. This hotel is a 3 min walk from the nearest subway. The only thing that I don't like about the location is it beside a very busy street, that means the taxi cannot stop right in front of it. It was a bit of a hassle because I have a large luggage. The room is big (i got a free upgrade). It is clean and had been tidied everyday. The stuff had been really helpful to all my questions. Nobody can speak english but with translation app, we got there in the end! Thank you for the wonderful service!

The room is clean and spacious. We got upgraded to bigger bed and bath tub too. The location just beside xianyukou, which is pedestrian connect to qianmen. Lots of local food there. The subway, you need to walk like 5 min but it's still okay. When we checked out, we got freebies, it's Beijing fridge magnet. Thank you.

Clean structure with frindly workers very close to Tienammen square and close to an area of typical Chinese shops, I think built specifically for tourists, but in any case you can get some bargains. Ciao Francesco

Hotel is in Qianmen itself and short walking distance to Qianmen MRT station. Lots of food and the location is superb. If you are looking to attend the flag raising ceremony at Tiannamen, this hotel is within walking distance to your destination. You won't get hungry at all. I am satisfied with my stay.

It is a nice hotel with it's very own personality, which is refreshing when all newer hotels seem to copy-paste each other. Staff is friendly but not everyone has a good command of English. The off-premises breakfast made it more difficult for me as a non-Chinese speaking visitor but this might not be an issue if you speak the language.

Staff is friendly and helpful, but the room smelly everyday even they call people to change and fix it. Overall the area is so convenient.

Stunning hotel, the staff was really welcoming and helpful, the position is strategic if you want to visit the city (3 mins walk from qianmen metro station), everything was perfect!

We had a great start to our travels here! First staff kindly let us check in early because they had a free room, it turned out to be super comfortable, good mattress, great location for the best hutongs and subway (soon a new alley will lead directly to the station) and best of all that famous duck restaurant in the basement with plenty further delicious dishes on offer. Breakfast was in a lovely traditional place very close by.

Great location, right between busy restaurant, tourist area and calm park, hutong area. Very clean, very modern renovation. VERy helpful staff.

Excellent service and location

Great location! Smaller rooms and AC stopped working one night, but traditional style architecture and location add up to a fantastic value!
