Hutong Courtyard Beijing Reviews

This place has a perfect location. The room is okay but bit old and worn. We were at the place for six days, and we did not get new clean towels or taken the trash during our stay. After a big rainshower it was dripping into the bathroom. It was nice that the room had a washing maschine, but the place did not have any out door surrowdings which we missed, because we thought there was a roof top place but it was only for a specific room. We woumd however choose the place again because of its location.

Excellent accommodation in the Hutongs of Beijing! The room itself was clean and comfortable, the hotel was very beautiful and the location was perfect! Just step outside the entrance, turn left and walk straight down to find the most amazing food and snack options!

Excellent place in the hutong area. Perfectly located, near great street food places, day and night markets and well connected through public transport to all of Beijing's main highlights. Staff responded our every need.

The place is beautiful! The location is walking distance to Qianmen and subway.

Right in the middle of the hutong which I just loved. Real old style accomodation with modern comforts. Just be aware that the front desk isn't always around and they don't speak English so can be a bit difficult if you have a question/issue.

The hotel is in a cool Hutong area not far from a main food street. The location is quite centrally located, only 15 min walk to Tiananmen Square. But there's not consistently someone at the front desk, so arriving later and other basic hotel services were not there (like refreshing the room with water bottles, clean towels, etc). It was more like an Airbnb. There also were no amenities like lotion, conditioner, tea. And the bathroom could use a refresh with new shower curtain.

Location is very good, in a nice hutong with many restaurants and shops nearby but out of the caos of the main streets. Metro stations are walking distance (10-15 min). The room is as it looks on trip photos, but cleanliness could be improved. The reception is open 24/7 but you need to contact the phone number provided (calls or WeChat messages) for them to open the door.

We stayed here as a group of 3 for our first time visiting Beijing. The staff are so long and helpful - they really deserve some praise. One of the group members lost something in a shopping centre earlier in the day and they helped us get in contact and arrange for it to be delivered back to us due to the language barrier. Place is very clean and lovely rooms, the staff also re stock your water and toilet paper etc daily. 15 minute walk from Qianmen station. Would definitely recommend!

We arrived in the morning 2am and we are supposed to check in later in the afternoon at 3pm. The owner was so kind to let us rest in an unoccupied room. They are so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is also clean and well maintained. The hotel is located inside the Hutongs. Walking along the hutong alleyways made us experience the old Beijing way of life. Recommended to stay here.

Great welcome, good location. On the other hand, the bathroom in particular was really not clean: hair from previous guests, limescale encrusted on the pipes and ventilation which does not work much, giving an unpleasant smell of humidity. That said, the people at reception gave very good advice and were always available to help us.

The lady incharge was super helpful.

Excellent place overall! I would certainly recommend this place above all else.
